227k jamesPLANESii  5.9 years ago
Auto Credit Based on jamesPLANESii's Scout Deadstick

This is the Scout Deadstick, based off the aircraft in the yet to be released game, Deadstick Bush Flight Simulator. (I'm super hyped for it! :D)

Performance based of a Piper PA-18 Super Cub.
Stall speed: 42 mph (36 kts)
Max speed: 120mph (104 kts)
This aircraft probably has the most realistic performance of any aircraft ever built, thanks to the new drag scale feature.

Controls:

Act 1: Lights
Act 2: Landing Lights
Act 3: Open door
VTOL down: Flaps

Features

Hyper realism, fully functional cockpit, amazing livery, super realistic flight charicteristics, all control surfaces are custom.

Pictures:

If you’re wondering what that epic map is, it This one. I LOVE IT!!! Shame it doesn’t have any airfields though. :(

Enjoy!

@Djkak Something like that. From what the devs have said, they're still working on it though.

Thanks! The devs don’t know when it will be out yet or what it will cost. But, it will be priced similar to other indie games rather than simulators, so it will be relatively cheap. @Mobilepilot

You should revamp this with better performance! It’s still a great Bush Plane but it needs the performance quality of your top cub

@Chancey21 I believe it has something to do with the rather questionable engine performances of SP propeller aircraft (You know what i'm talking about, point the plane straight up and the engine is strong enough that you don't actually stall.) Also, most planes, due to said strangeness, act unpredictably and unrealistically when trying to use a control surface (In this case, the elevator) in abrupt manners. Basically, controls dont seem to suffer from compression at high speeds or stiffen up at lower ones. That, combined with the strangeness of propellers, makes for odd landings when attempting untraditional methods. (Though I find three point landings are still possible if you go light on controls.)
