Auto Credit Based on Rub3n213's Barque wip 5

I swear to God I hope I didn’t miss anything this time

FEATURES
Wind powered sailing
Cannons (yeet)
Aim Indicator

You’ve been tasked with transporting the next batch of SimplePlanes builds to the Featured section, aboard a 22 gun Barque. You must ensure the safety of the precious cargo’s data, and fend off any Pirates illegally uploading builds to the cargo. The Barque comes loaded with enough firepower to fend off even notorious and cunning pirates such as Dlama, Bogan and Mod. (joke yo)

Don’t trip over the ugly green pieces in the photos, that’s just the aim indicators that pop underneath at the start of play.

Now how do we sail this beast?
I’m glad you asked. When starting it might seem like it’s sinking/half underwater but it will soon pick itself up. Set yourself a wind direction that you like (forward first is best), this ship works comfortably inbetween 70-110 mph winds.

TRIM Angles the main sails
THROTTLE packs up the main sails
VTOL changes cannon angle

There is a 1st person sailing camera which I encourage you to try out. Next to the wheel is a handy sailing instrument.

THE HANDY SAILING INSTRUMENT

Unfortunately the wind indicator is a bit slow and not very accurate at times, because SimplePlanes. Regardless it’s a handy instrument to have in front of you, + it makes me look cool.

Now on how the sailing works. generally you want to keep the WHITE wind indicator behind the black mast indicator. You can rotate the masts to suit wind and direction, rotation shows on instrument too. Once the wind direction goes past the mast angle, you must throttle up and close the masts to continue sailing, or else the main sails will pull you backwards/slow you down. The RED dead zone is the area you should keep out of angling yourself into, an area in which you will only lose speed.

NERD STUFF OVER, FUN STUFF NAO
CANNONS! They’re awesome. These cannon each have 3 shots loaded up.

Right side cannons use AG1,2,3
Left side canons use AG 5,6,7
Each Activation button has a full broadside stocked. Select a button on you want, then hold down fireWeapon to unload the broadside available to that button. You could just activate them all but I’d ask you do one at a time :)

VTOL, affects the angle of the cannon. Generally you want to shoot at neutral but this is helpful for when the ship is lurching to one side.

And now for the aim assist, press AG4 to bring up some cheap aim indicators. Somewhat helpful I guess.

So yeah. Enjoy, I know I do

Special thanks to @Kimcotupan15 This build of his helped me figure out wind sailing

Special thanks to @Leehopard for this tutorial on how to do realistic cannons

Hey star thanks heaps, I stopped using VTOL for cannons and have them running on auto level with a gyro. Where do you put dampermultiplier in? In the parts section or the input rotator section? @Stargazzer

goodship sir! but the gun rotator is bit jumpy when performing the VTOL .
you need to add this to your rotators (damperMuliplier 5000-10000) make sure you have xml editor like overload mod

the is damn cool when firing

Thank you! I’m currently working on a sloop with much improved systems on the wind indicators and cannon angle. Too bad I got them after I posted this lol. @SpiritusRaptor
