The ALEK-89 was proposed to the RWA as a standard issue automatic weapon for marines and security working in close quarters situations. It is heavily based off the ALEK-90, having many similarities, including the same magazine and ammo (5.56 NATO).

@PyrusEnderhunter Isn't the ALEK-90 based off a lot of guns like the ARX-160 and G36?
@Pilotmario yeah. it is based off the M16A5 in some cases. However, most of the parts are the idea of ALEK industries.
@PyrusEnderhunter So a bullpup 5.56mm assault rifle based off of the Paternian M16A5.
I would not use the word "modified". But rather: "It is SIMILAR to the M16A5". @Pilotmario
