Overview

The USS Beast, hull designation CVN-28, also known with her full name as USS Jimmy S. Donaldson, is the United States Federation Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and the flagship of the Federation Beast Fleet. She was one of the most battle-hardened vessels of the United States Federation Navy, Priority target in any battle.

Overview - Nimitz-class Aircraft Carrier

The Nimitz class is a class of ten nuclear-powered aircraft carriers in service with the United States Navy. The lead ship of the class is named after World War II United States Pacific Fleet commander Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, who was the last living U.S. Navy officer to hold the rank. With an overall length of 1,092 ft (333 m) and a full-load displacement of over 100,000 long tons (100,000 t), the Nimitz-class ships were the largest warships built and in service until USS Gerald R. Ford entered the fleet in 2017.

History

Jundroo lore

The Nimitz-class aircraft carriers were commonly used throughout the world in Jundroo universe but how far back their deployment goes is unknown.

The United States Federation Navy is the main operator of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. In the other use, Monarchii Royal Navy also known to operates some Nimitz-class aircraft carriers in their inventory. A notable unit of the ship was MRNS Bernkastel which has been sunk during the suicidal operation "Going Eleven" in the first Monarchii War.

USS Beast (CVN-28)

USS Jimmy S. Donaldson, oftenly known with her nickname or short name as USS Beast was built by the Newport Shipyard after the US Federation Navy issued a contract for the construction of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. She was completed sometime between 1972 and 1975.

In early 1975, the finished USS Beast entered into service alongside the vessels of the Beast Fleet. On April 24, she was dispatched on her first combat voyage in Maywar Campaign. the carrier successfully passed through the Soz Canal, despite fierce resistance from Maywar insurgent fighters. The extraordinary circumstances of the Beast's maiden voyage were unofficially considered "sea trials" by the US Federation naval command.

Four years after the war's conclusion, USS Beast was formally delivered to the US Federation navy in February 1979, and officially commissioned later on September 16. The carrier became the designated flagship of the Beast Fleet, Regularly patrolling the Wright Sea, and was assigned VFA-78 as its carrier air wing.

USS Beast is part of the Carrier Strike Group "Beast Fleet" with Strike Fighter Squadron 78 (VFA-78) embarked, with USS Beast as the flagship of the strike group and the home of the commander of Destroyer Squadron "Tarpley Fleet", backupped with USS Supreme Dorian Landing Ship being their intelligence gathering vessel.

Controls

• AG8 = Enable RADAR rotation.

CIWS controls

• CIWS may quite unprecision, but it will deal damage to anything who dare to come closer to it.
• Automatically aim at your target.
• Spacebar = Fire CIWS.

RIM-116 RAM controls

• Fires AA missiles and will automatically aims at target, but requires lock on target.
• Automatically aim at your target.
• LAlt = Launch Sea RAM missile (must lock-on target).

Aircraft control

Jet fighter control

• Control like normal, but lack of reticle and HUD makes it harder to navigate it's target.

Fighter armament

Main gun = M-61 (Deals high damage to any ground targets).
Secondary armaments = AIM-4 Falcon (Heavy projectile).

Startup

• AG7 = Turn on engine, disable/enable the vessel system, control the aircraft.
• AG1 = Deploy fighter #1
• AG2 = Deploy fighter #2

Take-off

• Make sure you are in full throttle.
• Pitch up immediately, and fly like normal.

Controls

• Normal flight control.
• Spacebar = Fire weapons.

Helicopter control

• Helicopter is hard to control and having a weird, Modern Warships-like camera angle. Try to get used to the controls then you will be more comfortable with the controls

Helicopter armament - SH-60 Seahawk

Main gun = M134 Minigun (Deals high damage to any ground targets).

Helicopter armament - SV-22 Osprey

• The Osprey features the VTOL mode.
  Main gun = GAU-17 (Deals high damage to any ground targets).
  Secondary armaments = Depth charges (drops 2 projectiles with devastating damage to below, needs cooldown before can be used again).

Startup

• AG7 = Turn on engine, disable/enable the vessel system, control the aircraft.
• AG3 = Deploy SH-60 Seahawk.
• AG4 = Deploy SV-22 Osprey.

CAUTION! When flying, do not turn off the engine at the mid-air or your helicopter will lose control and falling down.

Take-off

• Full throttle.
• Once it is high enough, set the throttle below 60 or 50.
• Your helicopter should go airborne now, if the heli keeps going up you'll have to play with the throttle as well to create some balance (for hovering).

Controls

• Normal flight control.
• Throttle 50 = Fly low/hover.
• Throttle 20 below = Go down.
• Full throttle = Go up.
• Spacebar = Fire guns.

Special

• Landing Gear = SV-22 VTOL

VTOL controls

• Landing Gear up = Disable VTOL.
• Landing Gear down = Enable VTOL

DISCLAIMER! The usage of all of the aircraft is SINGLE USE. It is not possible to land your aircraft back to the ship. Once you're done with it, you have to either leave them away or "sacrifice" it.

Trivia

• This was supposed to be the revamped version of USS Beast, and yes in this revamped version she's more accurately resembles the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) featuring double catapults.
• The in-game USS Beast might closely resembles the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) due to lack of her RADAR tower at the back of the island tower.
• The badge of USS Beast is resembles the USS Nimitz ship badge/crest.
• The ship crest also features the logo of MrBeast, a sort of reference to the ship name herself.
• The motto of USS Beast shares the same motto of the real world USS Nimitz.
• USS Beast full name in this lore is "USS Jimmy S. Donaldson", it's namesake was named after MrBeast's real name.
• The F/A-18C Hornet livery was loosely based after the in-game Wasp.
