Phoenix Industries F-47A

14.0k Griffon1  3.8 years ago
Auto Credit Based on Griffon1's FA-62 Skywolf

When the Accilian Air Force recieved it's F-14s distributed from A.A.I, Accilan aircaft designers were fascinated with the variable gometry on that aircraft. Thus, Phoenix Industries presented a proposal to the Air Defence Department to develop a fighter based on that technology.
The Proposal was accepted, and work was done on the aircraft right away. The result is a beast of an airplane, with an outlandish sweep angle (At most) of 85 degrees. This allows it to achieve blistering speeds.
The aircraft was the first to use the two new missiles, the AAM-004 air to air missile, and the AGM-003 long range air to ship missile.
The armament of this aircaft is 8 AAM-004s, 4 AGM-003s, and two Vulcan cannons.

CONTROLS:
AG1&2: AAM-004 groups
AG3: AGM-003 groups
AG5:nosewheel steering
AG6: parachute

@Tomcatbetterthanhornet Sounds like a plan to me. Do you have a discord? so we can discuss things without having a billion comments on this plane XD

Also I asked you this in my F-92 post but couldn’t figure out how to tag u do u wanna have a corporate alliance. U can handle the super fighters I do the cheap stuff. It could be the only way to compete with the AAI business wise

@Tomcatbetterthanhornet yeah go ahead. might want to lessen the rotator range for less sweep though cause 85 degrees is kinda obsessive in hindsight

When i give criticism i NEVER mean it to make the receiving person offended, it's just that my talking style is mean-sounding.

@TomekHellFire I understand. I don't give criticism without expecting to receive it

I might upload an unlisted with the parts i was talking about highlighted in red, and next to it i'll try to make it look cooler (in my opinion, the aircraft is still cool, of course!)

@TomekHellFire ah alright. Feel free to tweak it to your liking
(I think you are talking about the tail prongs then. Originally they were Joined by a wing, but that would have been tough to do with an all moving surface... Well... Not that difficult, I guess it was just a design choice.)

    No, not those.
    It’s too complicated to explain.

@TomekHellFire Oooh the rotators? I guess I forgot to scale and nudge them...

Although i don't really like how the pieces holding the vertical and horizontal stabilizers jut out a lot while the engines are deeply tucked into the fuselage, other than that, it's pretty good.
(yes, my grammar sucks. and this time it's not because i type at mach 10.)

@50CalChicken Thanks! Sorry I haven't been posting often recently. I've kinda been busy cause school is a thing now...
It was originally ally gonna be a restoration of the FA-62 post I mad ages ago, but that design was pretty boring so I made it a swing-wing.
