Type 45 Daring - Seas of Kuroshio

-Introduction-

The Type 45 Daring Destroyers are the Royal Navy's main naval asset, alongside their carrier duo, HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.

It is primarily an Air Defense vessel, outfitted with an arsenal of anti-air and anti-missile weaponry, as it follows the Principal Anti-Air Missile System (PAAMS) air defense system, specifically armed with up to 48 Sylver VLS cells, armed with either the ASTER 15, ASTER 30, or the Sea Ceptor, all of which are SAMs.

The class has a total of 6 ships; HMS Daring, Dauntless, Diamond, Dragon, Defender, and Duncan.

The ships of this class have seen upgrade proposals from upgunning due to the inadequacies of the 4.5" Mark 8 gun, replacement of its Harpoons SSMs to NSMs, to recently, equipping the ships with the DragonFire Direct Energy Weapon system.

As per the depiction featured in this craft, it heavily takes on the semi fictional depiction of the ships from the shipgirl game whose now ended service, called "Black Surge Night" / "Kuroshio: Abyss Awakening" , thus Seas of Kuroshio, where instead of the Mark 8 4.5" gun, proposed Otobreda 127mm LW, or proposed TMF 155mm gun, it makes use of a fictional depiction of an AGS 155mm gun, inline with the timeline and geopolitics of the lore of the game.

Note that these changes on the Darings were not necessarily canon in the game/lore, as it is only through an art depiction that this idea was taken from, where a specific CG depicted a Type 45 with a peculiarly shaped gun turret that did not line up with most modern naval gun designs, let alone the Mark 8 4.5" other ships like Arleigh Burkes, Atago/Kongos, and Horizon Class ships can be seen in this CG.
