Patrol/Strike Bomber: The B-42X/Artemis Mk II
A heavily modified B-42 Orion, the B-42X, dubbed the "Orion Alter" by Eleu Defense Systems, is made for patrolling the seas and destroying hostile naval targets. The Orion Alter is an experimental version built in 2019 and is mainly used for export, and this particular B-42X is in service with the RAF. The British renamed it to "Artemis."

The Orion's main layout was heavily changed, including the landing gear and internal parts. It now has a canard and delta wing layout, a more conventional rear landing gear, non-afterburning engines, and a smaller bomb bay to fit extra fuel. New radar systems were also added.

The Artemis has more advanced radar systems than the standard Orion, which allows its missiles to have an extra mile of lock range, allowing engagement at longer ranges. Along the new radar systems are four sonobuoy launchers to detect underwater targets such as submarines. For armament, the Artemis has up to six underwing hardpoints to carry weapons like missiles or targeting pods. The bomb bay, although smaller, can still carry up to 1000lbs of weight. It can carry up to three torpedoes, four depth charges, or more fuel for increased patrol range.

Instead of normal flaps, the Artemis has leading edge slats to act as flaps/trim control. The delta wings allowed the plane to have better control at all speeds and it also was easier to maintain than the original swing-wings of the Orion. Non-afterburning engines also had a longer operational time and also helped reduce fuel consumption. An aerial refueling capability is also added.

Controls/Instructions:
AG1- open bomb bay
AG2- unlock nose wheel
AG3- drop cleavers
AG4~7- drop sonobuoys (also activates their parachute)
AG8- navigation, formation, and anti-collision lights
Trim for leading edge slats
*has airbrakes and countermeasures

Launch missiles!

Torpedo hit confirmed!

Have fun, everyone! Leave feedback at the comments!

PS I almost forgot, this plane has some small bugs that I can't fix:
- sometimes the sonobuoys get stuck on the plane when you drop them, resulting in a....very interesting scene. It may or may not happen more frequently when in slow motion.
- the plane kinda slides to the right on takeoff
- sometimes the front gear wheels glitch around

Also I'll be inactive this week, exams are coming and I'll hafta study. Wish me luck.

@goboygo1 it was already drifting to the right even before I added the refueling probe. And damn, I forgot about the drag scale again.

@Texasfam04 it's alright, it's just internet points anyways
@LiamW maybe because you have more points than me? Jk, atleast you can build cars lol
@Sarin don't worry, you'll get better. Just don't give up!

How is it that I can spotlight this? This is way better than my stuff (other than the fact that it’s terrible at rockcrawling)

very nice, i believe the drifting to the right is caused by the slight asymmetry of the aircraft, such as the refueling probe. this can be fixed by changing the mass scale and drag scale to 0 on all non mirrored parts.
