B14.5 Hapalua-Fortress 4.0

228k RamboJutter  4.5 years ago

Based on a B29 but designed for a long range medium bomber role. AG1 for flaps, AG2 for arming bombs and opening bomb bay doors, AG8 to disable roll and pitch, AG5 onwards for different turrets. Took me ages to get around to finishing this one, everytime i touched 1 thing another broke... Painted in the PBY style colour scheme for pacific operations.

@RamboJutter no problem. It would be a shame for a build with so much effort not to be seen.

@FairFireFight thanks, i went for the v tail for a number of reasons, i am trying to use it sort of like a signature on my builds of late and i was trying to keep the number of turrets down. By using the v tail the top turret can cover more sky and backup the rear turret. I didnt know you where running a competition, i havnt been keeping track of competitions for a while since the last disaster...

@Nickr not much chance, to do that i have to delete all the decoration, the interior, the turrets and remake the fus and wings....

Very nice and original , but a think a regular tail instead of a V tail would look more plausible (This actually meets my challenge requirements perfectly , but its not an entry)
