[About Boeing B-17G "Flying Fortress"]

Wikipedia
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress is a four-engine heavy bomber developed by the American Boeing Company. During World War II, it served as a strategic bomber for the U.S. Army Air Corps.

In 1934, the U.S. Army requested aircraft manufacturers to develop a new model to replace the B-10, the mainstay bomber of the time.
Boeing responded by producing a prototype called the Model 299. The prototype made its first flight on July 28, 1935. Newspapers that witnessed the first flight described the aircraft as a "flying fortress" when they saw the machine gun protruding from the nose of the plane.
The Model 299 showed speed and other performance characteristics that overwhelmed those of competing aircraft. However, during a test flight in November of the same year, the Model 299 crashed due to a mistake on takeoff, and was eliminated from the selection process for subsequent mainline bombers. In the end, it was the Douglas B-18 that was selected as the mainstay bomber.
However, the Army Air Corps, impressed by the performance of the Model 299, ordered 13 aircraft for testing in 1936. These were called YB-17s, which were also upgraded from the Model 299.
The YB-17 was noted for its high-altitude performance and high speed,by 1941, about 150 B-17s were delivered.
The B-17 was also deployed to the European theater to carry out strategic bombing missions against the Germans. Although the B-17 was somewhat inferior in terms of bomb capacity and range, the B-17, armed with a large number of machine guns and sturdy, had a high survival rate and was well-liked by its crew.
The most widely produced B-17 was the "G" type, which was even more powerful than the "F" type and was equipped with 13 M2 machine guns. 8,680 B-17s of the "G" type alone were produced. By the end of the war, 12,731 B-17s had been produced, the third highest number of bombers ever produced.

[About the work]
Paint and markings were modeled after the "Chow Hound" of the 8th Air Force 91st Bomb Group 322nd Bomb Squadron. I pay tribute to the brave crew of the Chow Hound.
The cockpit is roughly reproduced.

The machine gun is integrated into four viewpoints: (1) FrontGun, (2) TopTurret, (3) BallTurret, and (4) TailGunner, and the machine gun changes direction following the destination of each viewpoint.
I have used PlanariaLab's "SP Label Converter" to create a Roundels. Thank you very much.
I have not verified this because I do not have Simple Planes VR. Sorry.

This is a really good plane but one problem, can you make it more durable?

Wow. This is so good! I might base my B-17 Aluminum Overcast rework on this if it’s fine.

If that was true, they would be succeeding in their goals with the 737 MAX

This is the best b17 in the game. Perfectly balanced storage wise, as well as able to fly straight while on the gunner view, all I have to do is remove the snap to default position and it will be completely perfect. No disrespect to the other b17 creators, but they were just, tbh overengineered and too heavy (they had to double each engine's horsepower than what a real b17 engine would be and on top of that add jet engines, and it took to long to load. It is a masterpiece, so I'll keep the old one, but this one is more enjoyable. Bravo!

Indeed, it looks more like glass when painted in black.
I will try it on my next piece. Thanks for the advice :)

Also, a tip, paint the glasses black and put the opacity at 10% for more realistic glass on your plane!!
