Huge thank you to NirvashTec for his original G-11 model!

Now, for a case of alternate history:
Following the failure of the US’s Advanced Combat Rifle (ACR) program in 1990, a new program called the Advanced Practical Carbine (APC) was established. Due to its positive response, H&K’s G-ll was entered. After 6 years, an expenditure of $450 million, and a litany of military bureaucracy, the G-ll, now under the moniker M11A1, entered service with Military Police, Infantry, and Naval and Special Operations forces.

H&K’s first working delivery differed little from their prototype from the ACR program. The primary difference was the slimmer forearm, which aimed to decrease some of the weapon's unneeded bulk.

With the arrival of the 21st century, designers were quick to modernize. Drawing inspiration from the French’s FAMAS G1, new M11A1 units were manufactured with integrated bipods, as well as four Picatinny rail systems. The grip was redesigned to accept AR-style pistol grips. Prompted by many M11A1 users, an adjustable, three-position wire stock was integrated, and the butt of the weapon was reduced in size.

While no official set of attachments was distributed, many soldiers began to utilize their optical sights, lasers, infrared illuminators, and grips from SOPMOD Block 1 kits (This model is equipped with a KAC Forward Pistol Grip). Eventually, the US military commissioned KAC to design a quick-detach suppressor unique to the M11A1’s native 4.73×33mm caseless round (also displayed on this model).

@Ephwurd The entries weren't considered sufficiently superior over existing M4 and M16 rifles.

@Ephwurd The goal was to double the hit reliability of the M16, I believe? None of the four rifles submitted even came close to that goal
