Simpler than ever
M-War II Info
If I understand correctly, the MDA was worried about our fighters not being on par with the potential Monarchii fighters, whether it be production or power?
Well, I've made a solution. Meet Vantrablade (named after the brother-sister duo of TCAI designers, Bruce and Jane Vantra). This is Vantrablade It.A, or Iteration A, which is the first of many variants. His role here is simple: provide a simple airframe that's not too overpowered so we still have a sizeable fleet in the case that the Anti-OP/Meme treaty disqualifies too many of our heavy lifters.
He still has amazing turn time, to a concerning point, but his armor barely exists, his speed is fair, he doesn't have infinite fuel, and he lacks overpowered weapons (I might have over-tweaked the damage on the gatling gun, I forgot, but you can change it if necessary).
TSW Info
Vantrablades actually would see little usage in M-War II- the conflict they were designed for. Their main claim to fame, or infamy more so, would be in The Scourge War. Due to their simple designs, they could be mass produced to high degrees, not quite on par with the SCOURGE, but it's certainly better than nothing. Its good turn time also made it viable against the many Scourge Jets which focused on close-quarters dogfighting.
However, the Vantrablade wasn't without its weaknesses, such as extremely limited flares and poor armor. These two made the Vantrablade a high-risk aircraft to fly, as enemy fire could defeat them quite quickly. But don't think this means the Vantrablade is a plane to sleep on: its simple frame leaves plenty of room for improvement. Maybe it'll have its comeback later...

Man, this guy is old, this coming 11th will mark one year since this version of the Vantrablade arrived in unlisted.
@CrestelAeronautics Well, then the drones can be trusted, but real life shows it's still risky, especially since making a UAV out of the Vantrablade would likely turn it into a huge threat to whoever its enemy is
@TheUltimatePlaneLover the MH-102B has 5mm of armor
And I'm not gonna let up on one I forgot. The B-22 has 8mm
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
Remote controlled, not autonomous
@KPLBall This thing is basically a Zero though (great turn rate and decent weapons, but less speed than others and basically no armor against modern weapons)
@CrestelAeronautics Would it work? Absolutely. But if I learned anything from Ace Combat, the drones cannot be trusted.
At the same time though, we could
Brotha
The Sokol II, Most UH-102 series helicopters, and the F-33S-50 don't have much armor either
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
What if we remove the cockpit and make it a mass-produced drone?
When you Vantra yo blade until you It.A
