B.M.C Mountaineer 1960 (fictional)

Fictional Lore:

In the early 50s, B.M.C decided that they'd open a new factory somewhere in East Asia to try to better capitalize on the market of this region. The choice fell to Japan and the factory was soon built. In the earily days, the Japan branch of B.M.C only produced existing models of the company as well as some heavy machinery, but by the late 50s, they got the chance to finally expand the company's fleet with their own new models. Up until that point, B.M.C was sort of competing two of their off-road models against each other: The B.M.C Mirage produced by the European factories, and the B.M.C Marshal, produced by the US branch. The Japanese branch decided to enter this competition and create their own, originally made, off-road vehicle. And so, in 1960, the B.M.C Mountaineer hit the market. The car was a huge success, even temporarily overtaking both the Marshal and the Mirage in sales in 1964. The Mountaineer saw several generations as well as some special limited editions (for example the 1960 series had a limited "Ultimate Adventurer Package" edition), and the latest generations are still produced to this day, but the original 1960 model remained a beloved favourite of off-road enjoyers.
