history

After seeing the success of the Grumman F6F hellcat, and the all new vought F4U corsair the newly formed Sataro Aircraft Manufacturing Company (SAMC for short) was tasked by the Japanese navy to make an all new carrier capable fighter, able to be a contender to the F6F and F4U aircrafts. Designing started in early 1944 and the first prototype didn't come to early 1945. Though the war ended by the time it would have been put into operation, it was proving to be a very good ground attack aircraft, and also a fairly good fighter.

Takeoff instructions

  • turn on ag2 and let it spool up
  • put in full throttle and add yaw as needed, and yaw will be needed
  • takeoff is quite short, its got good acceleration, not good top speed
  • put gear up and your good to fly

landing instructions (on land)

  • get down to about half throttle and add trim as needed
  • once over the runway throttle all the way down, you may want to turn off ag2
  • with brakes applied gently touch down, you may bounce a bit so just try again to touch down slowly
  • once on the ground use about 5-7% throttle and turn on ag1 for taxing

landing instructions (on Carrier)

  • basically the same as for on land landings just make sure to stay above 130mph and make sure the tail hook is down
  • you will most likely hit the prop on the deck, i slowed down the cable deceleration but i forgot to test it.

controls

Ag1 tail wheel
Ag2 engine start
Ag3 tail hook
Normal flight controls

fetures

  • 1 external camera angle
  • 4 30mm cannons with shell ejection (main idea By redfox65)
  • 2 counter rotating props
  • rear view mirror and a gun sight
  • working control surfaces
  • right gear sticks out a tad bit more than the left as well as being slower, this is because the wheels intersect at the same point, just a small detail you may not notice

Builders note: this is a pretty darn fun aircraft to fly, its just not the best for dogfighting, pitch isn't the best for it. carrier landing is pretty good, just need to know what your doing. landing gear is a bit bouncy on the ground, so when landing do so softly and slowly. i tried to get small little details into the aircraft, such as the shell ejection, sorry if it gets a bit laggy, its the only why i know how to do shell ejection and be part effective. it can takeoff from the USS Tiny, and USS Beast with ease, but if you want you can use the Beast's catapult.

@LieutenantSOT hm, never thought of that, may have to experiment with that.

@PapaKernels just a side note, another way you can do shell ejection is by using wing guns. You can have your main ones, and then put a another one that is small and facing what direction you want it to "eject" from. Set the speed of the shells to 0 or a really small number, and then set the damage to 0. Voila! You have a shell ejection system

@DogstenAnkleheigh well i don't use low physics so i would never have known that. does it at least work on medium?
