A lot of Star Wars weapons are actually just ww1 and ww2 weapons with junk added all over them.
@Deloreandude Alot of the Storm Troopers weapons appear to be based on the MG-42 or FG42.

@XxcreedexX It is, it was actually a replica C96, just made to look Space-Age for star wars. They did the same thing with many other famous weapons in star wars, keep an eye out next time you watch it and maybe you'll see something like a converted K98! :D
