Auto Credit Based on ChiChiWerx's McDonnell Douglas A-4P Skyhawk (FAA)

Instructions:
VTOL – Lower Flaps
Trim – Trim (duh!)
AG1 – Position Lights
AG2 – Landing Light
AG3 – Activate Nosewheel Steering
AG4 – Drop Droptanks
AG5 (plus VTOL down) – Lower Tailhook
Camera 1 – Bomb Chase Camera

Takeoff: Trim all the way nose up (slider down), lower flaps all the way (optional), pull all the way up on the stick and full power. Add a few stabs of left rudder to maintain centerline as asymmetries pull the jet to the right.

Landing: Trim all the way nose up (slider down) & lower flaps (optional), approximately 20% power/200 mph on approach, reduce power as you flare. Hold the jet off until as slow as possible (~150 mph).

History: Designer Ed Heinemann’s “Hot Rod”, the Skyhawk was a lightweight delta-winged shipboard attack jet. Designed in the 1950s to be as simple and small as possible (the tiny wing didn’t even fold!), it still possessed high speed, maneuverability and an impressive weapons load. It was one of the U.S. Navy’s most important combat aircraft during Vietnam, flown by the “Blue Angels” and also flown by Israel, Australia, Kuwait and Brazil. Its first export was to Argentina, which took delivery of 91 B and C models (known as C, P and Q models locally) from 1965. When the Argentina military junta invaded the Falkland Islands (Malvinas to the Argentines) in 1982, the Argentine Air Force and 48 of its A-4s opposed the more technically advanced missile-defended UK task force, its two carriers and Sea Harriers armed with AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles. Armed with “dumb” bombs, the Argentine pilots showed incredible valor, flew in at over 500 mph and below 50 feet to stay out of the ships’ engagement zones, sinking 7 British warships during the conflict, suffered 20 Skyhawk losses alone, but gaining the respect of their British opponents. This one is C-222, “El Tordillo”, rushed out of maintenance and distinctively painted only in its anti-corrosion paint, it sank the Sir Gallahad on 8 Jun 82, hitting her with two or th

    @ChiChiWerx you're welcome,
    Also its quite fascinating to control such plane, even though realism is on verge of the void.I once seeked on your existence and I found your builds very impressive,I once use one of your logos in my build and its quite nice to get such thing (instead of nudging in the roundel where I felt lazy).
    Right now am building an A-4 where I used to search for great models to inspire for and I shall use the mistakes to correct and hopefully I can end my pain.

    @JaeBeansS well, glad you like it. There are some structural techniques that this build’s relative simplicity make easy to see. But I wouldn’t use this to create a flight model, it uses brute power to overcome the unrealistically high drag from the built up wings, instead of using drag reduction, as it should be done. As a result, it accelerates too quickly, plus it’s not as fast as the RL jet at low altitudes. It also probably has too much turn capability. Fixing the flight model wouldn’t take too much, though, it isn’t as hard as it seems to make a “good enough” flight model in SP.

    Even though this plane is made 4 years ago it's still helpful for such other builds!

    @lucas1998, La Pucara es un avion muy interesante, y puedo hacerlo en el future cercano. Puedo hablar con dificultad (me uso el traductor de Google con frequncia), pero puedo leer espanol mucho mas facilmente.

    @RAF1 agreed, but it was the color scheme that I could accurately replicate. I think I can mod this into the Kiwi version fairly well, Green all over with black markings and a gold hue canopy...
