"The day of the Emperor has arrived!"

Overview

The BB-1 HuaQing, (NATE designation/reporting name: Emperor-class Battleship) was a Kindese heavy-bombardment battleship constructed in the late 1930s for the People's Republic Navy. The Battleship is based on the cancelled proposed super heavy battlecruiser "Kronshtadt" by the Socket Onion, which is later on being transferred and continued by the People's Republic of Kinda. The launch is scheduled for the end of the 1941.

On late 1942, she was sunk during Ding Dong invasion on Kinda, as an outcome of previous ambush conducted by Republic of Nether-Jim by "utilize" the power of Kindese army resulting in an unexpected friendly fire, leaving only 3 ships left on the class. Meanwhile, 1 ship was still under construction.

History

Kronshtadt-class battlecruiser (Knockoff Earth lore)

The Kronshtadt-class battlecruisers, with the Socket designation as Project 69 heavy cruisers, were ordered for the Socket Navy in the late 1930s. Two ships were started but none were completed due to Knockoff War II. These ships had a complex and prolonged design process which was hampered by constantly changing requirements and the Great Purge in 1937.

Only the hull of the ship was completed with a progress of around 10%, the super heavy battlecruiser project was left unfinished on time and cancelled.

Project takeover and transferred to People's Republic of Kinda

However, the unfinished ship wasn't being scrapped and dismantled yet. Seeing a chance, People's Republic of Kinda, which is an ally of the Socket Onion had an interest to purchase the right of the unfinished super heavy battlecruiser. As the deal was made, the unfinished project of the super heavy battlecruiser has finally taken over by Kinda.

In January 1938, the construction of the ship was begin. in April 1941, The People's Republic Navy has announced that Kinda has developing a brand new battleship to provide a heavy firepower against the enemy fleet. The name of the ship was later revealed as HuaQing, named after the source of hot springs with the same name. Kinda was remade the ship from originally a super heavy battlecruiser into a literal battleship, some weapons might has been modified and replaced from the original planned ship, with some weapons and equipments from Kinda.

With the ship had been under construction since the late 1930s, and was nearing completion. It was expected to be launched for real soon in late 1941 or early 1942.

Kinda has also build another ship, which is soon the HuaQing will become a lead ship on her own class, the HuaQing-class battleship which is also a sub-class of the cancelled Kronshtadt-class super heavy battlecruiser.

Known issue

The secondary cannon always start at the rear first. No matter how I try to fix it, the cannon always select the rear cannon than the front cannon. I tried so hard until I finally surrender and never managed to figure out how to make the secondary cannon to start at the front first. (Dear jundroo and Mr. Andrew if you read this, I hope we can have the manual cannon arrangement in SimplePlanes 2).

Manual instruction:

  • Throttle = Move forward.
  • Brake = Brake.
  • S = Reverse (set throttle to 0 first).
  • A & D = Turn left & right.

Armaments

Main Cannon

  • 3x 305mm Cannon

Secondary Cannon

  • 8x 152mm Cannon

Autocannon

  • 7x 100mm Flak Cannon

Air defense

  • 6x Anti-Air Gun

Cannon controls:

  • Main cannons rotates slower than the rapid-fire cannons. In vice-versa, the secondary cannons rotates faster than the main cannons.
  • VTOL = Rotate left/right.
  • Trim = Aim up/down.
  • LAlt = Fire.

Autocannon controls:

  • Autocannon is more effective in close-combat, It also a flak cannon, capable to intercept aerial targets.
  • Automatically aim at your target.
  • LAlt = Fire.

Anti-Air Gun controls

  • Anti-Air Gun will deal damage to anything who dare to come closer to it.
  • Automatically aim at your target.
  • Spacebar = Fire AA Gun.

Trivia

  • This ship is a fictional Chinese WWII heavy-bombardment battleship based on the Kronshtadt-class battlecruiser, an incomplete Soviet super heavy battlecruiser (officially designated a "heavy cruiser") built under the Soviet Navy's Project 69. According to this alternate lore, it said that China has acquired a rights to continue the unfinished project and redesigned it from originally a super heavy battlecruiser into a literal battleship. The ship finally enters production and service under the hand of People's Liberation Navy during the World War II.
