UK Fairey Firefly MK.1

34.0k Akali  5.9 years ago

brief introduction:

Firefly fighters evolved from Fairey on the basis of the "tube nose" fighter. The firefly uses a new Youngman wing clamp (Youngman flaps). The wing can rotate 90 degrees and then fold to the sides of the fuselage. This wing clip also improves the strength and the wing area of the wing, making the firefly a strong and easy to operate fighter. Firefly fighter is a multi-purpose fighter, which can carry out various tasks such as fighting, attacking, reconnaissance, night fighter and antisubmarine. Firefly users include the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Holland. Filley company delivered 1623 firefly fighters.

Overall layout:

The "firefly" aircraft is more streamlined in its shape than the "pipe nose". After the engine compartment, it is the front seat cockpit and its steep windshield, and the backseat cabin is hidden into the middle of the fuselage. There is a multi frame hatch cover. Here is a Scout or radar hand. The elliptical low single wing of the folding wing tip is relatively thick, and the 4 door 20 mm guns are mounted on the wing with strong firepower. The maximum speed of the plane is up to 505 kilometers. However, the biggest feature of the "firefly" aircraft is that the rear edge of the main wing is equipped with the Yang GMAN flap, and the maximum down deviation can be close to 90 degrees, which is beneficial to the deck short take-off and landing and the low altitude and large maneuver.

I Believe the nose cone is supposed to be round, it's also unrealistic. Other than that! Good job.

Amazing, but a ww2 plane can’t go 700 mph in like 30 seconds. Make it make realistic, these things weren’t that fast
