@AWESOMENESS360 Yeah, I got that name ("Carbex") from an excellent science-fiction novel called Reach, written by an actual astronaut, Ed Gibson.

@SledDriver ahh, I see. I just remember how you said in the description of your Sentinel that it's made out of single crystals of Carbex.

The metal and matte black finish are a good addition!

@AWESOMENESS360 I do like it when people remember little things... yeah, the leading edge is made of Carbex, grown as a single piece by molecular deposition. The metallic bit is a high-temperature hyperalloy, the composition of which I could tell you, but then black-clad men in black helicopters would be descending on you very shortly...

@SledDriver she's made out of Carbex, isn't she?

@Whatt I'm always nice unless someone comes at me with an attitude or acts in bad faith.

@CRJ900Pilot Sure, that'd only take about 360 more parts :)

I don’t know how I would do it, but I was thinking a yellow stripe between the black and the grey @SledDriver

@CRJ900Pilot Thanks. I'll use color if the build calls for it. On this one, for instance, I can't see anything colorful looking good. Feel free to prove me wrong, though.

Nice! For your next build, I suggest putting a touch of yellow in, mixed with the black and grey. I think it will look really cool and help it pop

@FairFireFight You're right, thanks for pointing that out. That's what I get for copy-pasting...

    Right you are, @TMach5.

@Whatt Here's the jaggediest of them all. A scaly one. A chunky one. Smooth and jagged at the same time. Here's one that's chunky as hell. A blocky one. Another blocky one.

So you see, I make a lot more than smooth builds. But yeah, in general, I like smooth stuff. I could add panel lines if I wanted to, but they're very expensive in terms of parts. For instance, one smooth shape could be built out of 400 parts. If I wanted just one panel line crossing that, I'd need another 400 parts. Two lines, 800 parts. So it's partly what I prefer, and partly a limitation of the game engine.

@Whatt Also, I do have some blocky builds as well. But flying shapes are supposed to be smooth, you know...
