The introduction of this concept car

The Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow is a concept sports car launched by Mercedes-Benz to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the brand. It was designed by the designers at the Mercedes-Benz Research Institute in Carlsbad, the United States, and starred in the Hollywood movie "Silver Lightning".

The name of the vehicle is derived from an event at the 1934 Nürburgring Grand Prix: the Mercedes-Benz W25 racing car scraped off its white paint to reduce its weight to 750 kilograms and won the race. Since then, Mercedes-Benz has adopted the tradition of silver paint.

The car uses an abstract design language. Its silver body visually echoes the name 'Silver Arrow'. It is equipped with large-sized hubless wheels to enhance all-terrain adaptability. The front of the car features an exaggerated air knife shape, and the roof extends backward to connect with the shark-mouth-style rear surround panel. The hollowed-out wheel design showcases a sense of future technology. As a non-production concept vehicle, its design practice reflects Mercedes-Benz's modern interpretation of classic racing car elements.
