History
The T-18 Light Tank was the first Soviet tank. Designed to be a small support vehicle, it was produced from 1928 to 1931.
Going under the more common name of MS-1, this tank was heavily based off of the Renault FT, having the same 37mm Model 28 Cannon.
The T-18 saw occasional combat, such as when multiple T-18s took part in defending the Far Eastern Railway against Manchurian forces in 1929, and multiple being upgraded with 45mm cannons following the German invasion of The Soviet Union.
The T-18 only had one notable variant, the Su-18 SPG.
The last T-18s were retired from service in 1932.
