Background

The IV.M.29 was a direct descendant of the previous IV.M. 26 . It inherited most of its cues, from the overhead engine configuration and the fuselage design. The plane was built in 11 months,in Milan at the Santoni manufacturing facility (Hangar N° 7). It runs on two Contrarotating 4 bladed propellers, spun by a V12 inline Ferrari-Lombardi FL80 Tris, generating 960~ hp. The fuselage is built out of plywood, the floating body is reinforced and permeated. The nose has a metal reinforcing structure to help in absorbing the fast incoming airwaves, same with the tail.
Meanwhile, the wings have an Aluminium skeleton but are covered with 1.2mm thick plywood.

Records

The M.29 broke the speed record in 1934,near Lugano, Switzerland in occasion of the World Aeromobile Exhibition. It flew for approximately 2 minutes at 712 kph at ~80 meters in the air. The record would have remained unbroken until 1941.

It broke the fastest speed on water,302 kph, when the elevators failed, leaving it stuck in a awkward position for a few seconds, enabling it to reach such speed

@MemrWii I did but also I meant the throttle stick. The virtual throttle works fine

Did you take any inspiration from the original aircraft?
This thing is way to quick for a plane built in the 30s
It accelerates to 700 kph in a heartbeat and it damn well pulls better than a spitfire somehow.
It looks great but the flight model just does my head in.

Thought it was for the challenge, but it's still good!
