About this locomotive

The GP7u was a rebuild done by the Santa Fe Railroad in the 1970s as an attempt to modernize and extend the life of their vast fleet of what were at the time GP7s. They were extremely successful and can still be seen on many short lines and even in switching service on some of the class 1 railroads such as BNSF.

A little note:
Because this locomotive class was custom built by the Santa Fe railroad no locomotive is exactly the same. Almost all of these locomotives are slightly different from one another and often had changes made to them during their service lives. That being said, I did my best to try to use pictures from the same era to recreate this piece of history.

Controls

VTOL - Throttle & Reverser
AG1 - Front headlight
AG2 - Rear headlight
AG4 - Number Board lights
AG6 - Front Magnet
AG7 - Rear Magnet
DO NOT ACTIVATE AG8

Compatibility

Should function with most magnet railcars including those which require a missile lock to detach.

This locomotive is built for the SPR map, however it does have clearance issues so it can not operate on the entirety of the map.

@MRM19 I'm not, I actually love how it looks and all the work you put into it. I'm just anal about extremely fine details that no normal person would notice. I love trains, so that's gotta hint at my autism a little lol

That’s actually a really interesting point, I did not notice those vents. That being said I find it interesting that that is what your criticizing. Additionally I don’t necessarily appreciate you just discounting the work I put into this and a simple comparison of the part counts should tell you all you need to know. @asteroidbook345

@MRM19 It's my GP9 but chopped. Also you didn't move the vents on the long hood, so it's still a GP9 lmao
