Ugh, tried hard to replicate the Balzac V... here comes the French VTOL testbed.
(It might be hard to control anyways...)

AG3 - VTOL mode with gyro controls. VTOL up for hover. Transition - set main throttle to halfway then disable AG3.
AG5 - Airbrakes.
AG8 - turn off gyroscope
