I build the planes body and wings
and you build a good cockpit
its a 50/50 share

Despite it being at times a tall order given my builds I myself have generally gone for building under 500 parts. This is mainly to keep the lag low for devices that can handle it, and also expand what devices can handle them. It's generally me trying to balance having a good amount of detail (and sometimes special functions) with not making a 1k part monster.
@Notaleopard when creating something, every tiny piece you add makes digits. The more pieces you add, the higher the number digits. The higher the digits, the more lag, the more likely a person is unable to download it.

im at 6000 and rising
Most of time the parts of my build are usually between 200-400.
300 is my dead limit, for anything, downloaded planes and otherwise.
The new A6M5 zero has 150 parts which is concerning.

Mine has passed the "mobile limit" (when the download button turns orangish-yellowish) soo it has more than 800 parts.

Ha! I've never gone below 300 parts on my regular builds.
ha i went from below 200 to above 600 then to almost 2000
same, my half finished plane is already 350, thats a lot for me
