I think they wanted to show that the ISIS group did accomplish in what they did but! And this is a big BUT they got what they deserved when operation Neptune Spear came along and SEAL team six killed Osama Bin Laden...RIP to the 3000 who died on that horrific day. :-(

The terrorists did 9/11 to show the world that they are dangerous, and that the world must listen to them, because if they don't get what they want they'll do it again, and again, and again. This came at a cost, too, but the devil's in the details.
