so i found some things that have a big chance of being called as the thing they arent. one instance is that people think that the fritz X is a glide bomb. no its isnt its a radio controlled free fall bomb. oh and if you want a bit of information here is a good video talking about the topic:German Guided Weapons. another thing that a lot of people get wrong if the differnce between a rocket and a cruise missile (like the cleaver): rockets take theyr oxigen with them cruise missiles need air intakes to get their oxigen. but one of the most recalled fails is the well known horten ho IX. a lot of people known this plane as the horten ho229 but here is a problem: the hortens werent able to build planes in large numbers (theyr first plane, the horten ho1 parabel was build in theyr parents living room. they were designers not builders) so that the task of mass scale production of the fighter bomber was given to the gotha railcar manufatur (and yes they were also succesfull plane builders) and there the plane changed names to the Gotha Go229 so what do you want to say when you call your horten a ho229? that you dont do research or that you didnt even know the difference between prototypes and series production in germany (the V3 that is often asocciated with the horthen IX stands not for vergeltungswaffe (retribution weapon) but instead for versuchsmuster (prototype) 3). so if you want to build our favorite WWII single wing bomber think if you want to keep it as a prototype (V3) or as a series model (most likely is a A-1 in this case as a designation). and here is a small helper to prove my point. its the german page of wikipedia abotu the horten HoIX look at the name of the plane:link to klick.
phew long text but i hope that at least a bit of understanding for propper research is spawned from it. at last a little fun fact about the dornier do335: it is a bomber with bomb bays and the performance of a interceptor so what could be more beefed up than this? idk but its possbile to get far beyond this.

@Minecraftpoweer i am an aline born on earth. i view humanity from an outside perspective. my findings: most humans are dumb but humans also have redeeming qualitys (at least some. the best example of this trump guy was on the g7 summit when he was proposing to get rid of tolls all toghether). also i learned that you never should take inspiration for scifi posts from hollywood movies (the only one that gives decent reasons for such things is starwars prequels and original trilogy. worst cases are battle for loss angeles and indipence day. dumb aliens attack earth to go extinct during travel.

@ThePrototype the gotha factory was indeed the place were all of the prototypes were build but the desigantion of the prototypes was still horten. in case of mass production this designation was planned to be change from horten hoIX into gotha go229. and i had some discussions with a guy wich claimed that the fritz x was a glide bomb.
People need to do more research.....
And did People really think the Fritz-X was a glide Bomb? Because it was a primitive, but decently effective guided bomb..... the reason I say decently effective is because it didn't always hit, but when it did it could destroy and ship quite easily
The reason why people call he Ho-229 the Go-229 is because they found it in a Gotha factory, but Go-229 is incorrect
