I'm not doing this to get more upvotes for myself and stuff like that.
I Think that people who have this game should get an account, it allows you to comment and upvote stuff and also make friends on the site.
It might be dissapointing to get many downloads and less thn 1% give any feedback like comments or upvotes.
Every comment (if possitive or constructural critisism) and upvote is appreciated by everyone on this site.
If you enjoy something you download just upvote it because if you enjoy it you should tell the poster that by upvoting and they will get motivated to do more.
Also for people that have accounts, there are still people that join the game, they will not build something like the top 10 people or something but if they do something nice, dont just jump over their post because they dont have many posts, you might be suprised by what you see and they probably appreciate every upvote even more and it shows them that people care and want them to continue.
Conclusion
Basically you should get an account and upvote the things you enjoy playing to ahow that you enjoy the post. Just a download can't show that because downloads are like views for Youtube and upvotes are likes and if somebody gets 700 downloads and 50 upvotes it is hard to see how many people enjoyed the post

@FireDrake when you are done with a plane click on the Three bars then the button with an up Arrow, then just take some screenshots with the in game tool by clicking the button and give it a description and name
I feel like an idiot right now. I do not know how to upload any planes and this is me asking for help. If anyone knows how to upload on mobile please tell me.
@EliteArsenals24 I wish more people would join, too. Hopefully some of the Great Old Ones will return when Jundroo drops the next big patch
@JakeTheDogg @F104Deathtrap Well you're right. I too started an account a year after I first played SP. Guess we'll just have to settle with having an account as an optional choice rather than requirement.

@EliteArsenals24 Nah, that would just mean less people downloading planes. I waited 6 months before starting an account, if it had been mandatory, I just wouldn't have done it at all.

@EliteArsenals24 yeah, because you still need some sort of account to get the game like an ios account or google account or steam account. And if you can get one of those you can get an Sp account and that could probably decrease piracy of the game
Making an account should be a requirement to play. I know it's a bit much but think of how many users would be out there.

The most prolific builders on here are usually the most supportive of new players. When white and copper players upload something that shows promise, the first upvote is usually from a gold or platinum user. I tend to give feedback, (move the back landing gear forward, usually), but I also try to tell them my favorite parts as well.
Once people go gold, then I start being a bit more choosy about what I upvote. I figure that by gold, they've got people that know them and support them, and more importantly they know whats what.

This means that you know, that overall it's not completely discouraging that the other 740 people who downloaded didn't upvote. So, then if you don't see upvote/download ratio as you had described it above, why do out of the way to write a completely different analogy different from your actual thoughts?.
@Mostly you do have a Point and sometimes it does happen that you get more upvotes than downloads and that is probably not prefered because then they didn't try the plane ot whatever. And im not realy sure if the downloads are as rewarding. It might be like a Youtube video Downloads=views and upvotes=likes People might Watch it but if they dont enjoy it they dislike it. On simpleplanes i Think that for every post pretty much on the site it is pretty lacking. Like look at this it has almost 800 downloads but only 62 upvotes, i dont Think that 740 people didn't enjoy the plane
@Minecraftpoweer Wouldn't downloads be just as rewarding as upvotes? Imagine if you got a bunch of upvotes and less than half the downloads. You would be up here, complaining about the same thing.
@Mostly it can be dissapointing if you have spent some time on something and you get a lot of downloads but not a lot of upvotes, if most people got accounts they could upvote things they like because i doubt that 90% of downloads are from people who dont enjoy the post.
Why is this disappointing? I'm pretty sure most people who visit the site don't have accounts.
