The introduction of a snyc gear to SP (synchronization gear)

12.5k Flash0of0green  6.4 years ago

For those of you who do't know what a snyc gear is. It is simply controls the fire rate of guns mounted behind the propeller of a plane so the pilot does not shoot off the propeller when in combat. This a feature that the game lacks but should be included for the sake of WW1 and WW2 builds. snyc gear could replicated using MXL moding on guns however every attempt I have tried has come up as a disappointment. If Any Devs read this please consider my suggestion and if applicable respond to this post.

If disableAircraftCollisions="true" does not work, put the gun within 1 block behind the props. Bullets will spawn in front of the props

@ChiChiWerx and I offer the same. Side note: this is why I don't like text based communication is it can lead to miss understandings and you have to say a hole lot more just to drive home a point.

@Flash0of0green, my fault for conveying the wrong tone, my apologies.

@ChiChiWerx I would like to point out that the why you said what you did kinda came off as grammar and spelling Nazi like with a tone of sarcasm.

@ChiChiWerx did I sound snarky? I don't mean to... Nor have I ever met to sound snarky.

@Flash0of0green, the proper shortening of “synchronization” is “sync”. As a military pilot and a History major specializing in Military History, I can tell you we never used “sync gear” as short for “synchronization gear”. Besides, once I read your thread, I then thought I might try to be light in my tone, I thought it was a witty comment, you took it as something snarky and totally the wrong way. Guess I should be more careful in my tone when commenting, sheesh.

@Gravity read into the comments and you'll see exactly why I don't want to do that.

@Flash0of0green just set the gun to 'NoCollisions-True'

@EternalDarkness can't and hard are too different things. It would be hard to do but not impossible as far as I'm aware.

Since the prop is, I believe, an animation with a disc-shaped collider, you can't sync.

@Flash0of0green disabling collisions doesn't influence effect on target. You just have to practice your aim, maybe reduce spread.

@ChiChiWerx sink is short for synchronization. Any who read the description. Will probably figure that out quiet quickly. That being said to humor you I will make it more apparent.

It’s actually “synchronization gear”, thought I was reading my about new submarine parts here!

@WNP78 @Oski I did that and my results were disappointing. disabling collisions makes the bullets collision less with other craft not just your own. Also that doesn't fix the problem for mobile users... A what I propose would be more of a blanket fix for all platforms and would not require people to learn MXL moding.

You can actually sync it by setting rmp that works with rpm of the engine... Or like, 10% of it. It works great. But disable collision to save time.

try disabling collisions on the guns, it will look like it is synced.

@NathanMikeska should I still copy and paste this to UserVoice?

You should UserVoice this. The devs never look there, but that’s what they’ll tell you to do.
