Nope, for my trains I use google images for reference. Same with cars if I'm recreating something. I don't draw.

I do the reverse. However, in my school planner, I doodled my BRS Victory then made it.

I personally don't take a sketch, but I will occasionally draw an outline around a picture of my build to check the planes profile.
