The thing that's WRONG with the game physics.

After what I've seen in the movie, "Sully", I know there was a 35 second delay before making a turn after dual engine failure, and the plane lasted 208 seconds within landing on the Hudson. I tried this with the weight it most likely would have, and cut the engines at 2800. The plane didn't last 35 seconds without stalling. I then tried with the 208 seconds it took to splash down, and it took me 52 seconds of "recovering" from stalling to hit the water, and even from a higher altitude. That is abysmal.. I'm dumbfounded.. This game needs help.

Also consider that in a movie, for moments like that, they tend to like to slow down the entire scene. Just look at the Fast & Furious movies, where the quarter mile drag strips last like 30-40 seconds when it should only last 10 at most, and is drag out to a full 2 minutes for the first one, practically. Don't take movie time at face value.

If anything, what you had is a lot more realistic for an aircraft of the same type, most likely. extraordinary cases happen, but for the most part, incidents like stalling and losing the engines will make the plane fall in a matter of seconds, even in WWII, which naturally have more glider like wings, compared to jets. Sure, they can do it much longer than a jet plane, but it's not going to glide for 2 and a half minutes on end at an altitude of 2,800ft, and even the best ones in this game, like the stock P-51, can only manage like a minute and a half? At most?

Sometimes it's hard to make universally good physics for a game where each plane is made up of 500 different circles and squares glued together. Also, for you to test how realistic sp is compared to the movie sully, you would have to have a plane on sp with the exact same weight, size, shape, drag, engine thrust, lift, and so on and so forth, of the real thing. I'm sure the physics are the best they can be for such a complex building game

Sometimes movies stretch certain incidents because there's a lot to show, like those dang long drag races that are a few minutes long :/ (maybe thats the problem)

I kinda do agree with you. It's kinda like the difference between the amazing Ace Combat 4 physics and the " makes me cry all the time" AC5

@jamesPLANESii Not so much, still in early development. I wanted to give it flight characteristics of what it normally would be. I hopefully will put in more things into the airplane tomorrow.

Lol! How accurate is all the stats of the plane?
