I've been told they periodically go through the VR tag within a couple days.
It's been ten.
Five.
ONE. MONTH.
The incentive to build VR craft is in large part that it doubles upvote point yield (at least, whatever couple come in the years after a post, since most will come before the craft is curated anyways, and so don't count). It validates something as a higher level of quality, that extra effort was put into it to improve its usability.
If that incentive isn't working because there aren't the curators to verify, at least not within a remotely reasonable amount of time, then there isn't much reason to go through the enormous pain that is making a craft VR compatible.
I dread making cockpits, yet do it because it means that the craft will be verified as something above the average.
Or so I thought.
@crazyplaness Thanks. I take it the process is still ongoing? Or were the latter two rejected?
@Mal0ne Yeah. Would be nice if SP2 has some sort of in-game estimate, sort of like reach info. Maybe limiting processor use to simulate VR performance? Or maybe that's too complicated, I dunno.
@KSB24 Wha
@Graingy facts, we do need more curators
@KSB24 💀
more curators. the cute curators.
@Noname918181818181818181 builds with lower performance cost may perform badly because of excessive amounts of moving parts/weird aerodynamics, but I suppose performance cost is prolly the best way of gauging its compatibility with vr
It’s a shame curated crafts need to have such low performance cost. Granted I prolly go overboard with details but whats the point in be if you can’t provide the most realistic experience possible 😭
Sorry for the delay, somehow no crafts have been reviewed in the past 16 days. I’ll get to work on reviewing them.
@Noname918181818181818181 It would seem very strange to have a hard cutoff however. Performance cost also isn't the most accurate measure as some seemingly low Performance cost parts can run very poorly.
I heard that some posts can't be curated simply because the performance cost being too high, which means they don't run well in VR, if I remember correctly it's when the perf cost is over 3k that makes it less likely to be curated. After all, even if it's VR compatible, if it's laggy af, then you won't be able to play it properly in VR anyways
@BaconEggs I’m sure there are people who’ll say that unironically.
