@LunarEclipseSP my strategy mainly consists of camping at a corner and waiting for the enemies to come to me, but my issue is that I keep on using up ammo too quickly

Run, think, shoot, live.
Kill enemies as many as possible. Keep moving around to avoid enemy appears/spawns behind you and seek for the ammunition supply. Stay in place for "enemy farming" to gain extra score.
Repeat, and keep doing it as long as you can.
