In August of 1946, the Convair corporation flew the largest aircraft ever: the XB-36. It had 6 massive radials, and a 230 foot wingspan. The USAAF liked it very much, and ordered more
Over time, it developed very fast. In 1959, the last flight was made. At this point, the aircraft only had 1 tail turret with 2 20mm guns, and a massive payload of 86,000 pounds. Capable of flying 36 hours nonstop at 230 MPH (200 Knots), and over 10,000 miles, it was an astounding beast. It also had 4 jet engines to boost the speed to just over 400 MPH (350 Knots) for dash speed. It was put at the PIMA Air and Space museum, where it remains today
It still is one of the largest aircraft to date, and it is the largest piston-driven aircraft or military aircraft ever put into active service. Although it did not see combat, it left a lasting mark in deterrence and maintaining peace in the geopolitical world

I am currently making the final variant of the B-36, the B-36J-III, and it is going pretty well. It has been a very long time since I made an update on it, so here it is so far!
I have added the jets (which have working drag flaps over the intake), and a functional start up for everything. Once I finish the cockpit, it will have variable systems to start it all up. This is going to be my most detailed build ever. It is currently at 793 parts, and I doubt many people could fly it in VR, but it is still an amazing beast. Also, the following pictures will show some gross stuff, and I am going to work on fixing that once I catch up on my smaller projects
