A discovery (not sure) and a question

So I have found out that when the missile locked on a plane, the missile will head to the "Cockpit" part; which means the missile will lock the cockpit.

But in this beta, or the future update, the Cockpit's camera can be shut off and replaced by the "Seat Part". Which mean the original cockpit can be placed at other part of the craft.

So here's the question:

If I want to evade the missiles much more easier, where should I put the cockpit at?

On the rear or On the front of the plane?

(If you don't trust me you can test it yourself by putting the cockpit at somewhere else and let a missile hit you in slow motion. And you will see where is the missile targeting)

    probably near the rear since the missiles do adjust the velocity and direction relative to the target, so if you have the cockpit piece at the rear it will try to target that, this could also be used for heat-seeking missiles since the engine exhaust is basically the hottest part of the plane

    I put the cockpit near the center of mass just for a realistic targeting box

    Yes, you can just drop the cockpit with a detacher and put a camera to the main plane and now the SAM wont lock on you

    as far from center of mass as possible.
    airplane rotates around it's CoM, and speed of part relative to CoM is proportional to distance from part to CoM and angular velocity of airplane.
    also if you have large ring on your airplane you can rotate cockpit inside ring, so it's velocity will not be same as velocity of airplane.

    it rlly doesnt matter where you put it lol, 9 times out of 10 you cant evade a missile without the use of countermeasures or if we are speaking on fantasy unrealistic builds then just have your build do 40+ G pulls and laugh at physics
