@LimeAir Lol yeah. Please wait for a bit before fix it and upload, first I send you your prize of 2 reshaded screenshots. You want the best one as a thumbnail with the name on it? I know good fonts to use
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes Wow, thanks! Ill try that for my next creation. A question, I noticed something, is it a glitch that if you have two glass fuselages, the less opaque one will override the other? It happened when I looked through a HUD behind custom cockpit glass.
@ToeTips I always do all my own screenshots! I have downloaded Reshader Effects. Its an app you add to simpleplanes that enhances the graphics real time. The text is Relucta font, with an added custom bevel.
@ToeTips This name is real actually, used by USAF. best to change the nameof yours . I have been doing some research and Cormorant (Bird) is open as a name.
@JetMaker @LimeAir @NoblePlanesLTD Remember the upvotes is only part of the prize. Please anticipate 2 reshader-rendered images for each aircraft. It will take me a while tho to get them as I have to get it real nice. if you dont want them please let me know because it then wastes my time. But by default I will provide them within a few days
Because one of your back elevators is not working, I suggest you fix the problem, wait for your 2 reshader rendered images then upload with them as thumbnail
1st Place (90/100): SEF-1 & F-16C
2nd Place (83/100): AE-5 & A330
3rd Place (80/100): A350
COMMENTS:
FIRST PLACE: F-16 – (90/100)
PROS:
Incredibly detailed cockpit, wonderful fuselage art and accurate replica of the F-16.
CONS:
The cockpit is slightly confusing, so in-game aircraft instructions are necessary to fly this plane. One elevator is not working, so safe and normal flight is impossible. I know this is a cockpit challenge, but handling and appearance was also included in the marking criteria because a plane with a good cockpit but can’t fly properly has no use for the cockpit and as a plane. Also, a good and detailed cockpit is of no use to the pilot if he does not know how to operate it.
FIRST PLACE: SEF-1 – (90/100)
PROS:
Love the idea of the ‘Scrap aircraft’! Taking main external parts from other planes, genius!
CONS:
No faults with the cockpit. The stall speed and max speed are too close, making it difficult to climb. No back landing gear, making for a bumpy landing. Tips over too much when landing. I know this is a cockpit challenge, but handling and appearance was also included in the marking criteria because a plane with a good cockpit but can’t fly properly has no use for the cockpit and as a plane.
SECOND PLACE: A330 - (83/100)
PROS:
Detailed cockpit, accurate replica. Handles very well too.
CONS:
The windscreen is too dark, making it hard to see out. Fuselage smoothing would make the fuselage look less disjointed.
SECOND PLACE: AE-5 – (83/100)
PROS:
Nice exterior design. I also love the radar screens in the cockpit!
CONS:
Must look down too much to access flight controls.
Handling a bit exaggerated
THIRD PLACE: A350 – (80/100)
PROS:
Detailed cockpit, accurate replica and good fuselage art.
CONS:
The windscreen is too dark, making it hard to see out. No yaw control in the cockpit, even though it is necessary for airliners so they can stay on the runway.
Well done!
Because there werent many submissions, and some people got the same number of points (Wow!), everyone is winner! Everyone got at least one plane in first or second place!
AWARDING
Upvotes will be awarded shortly, but the reshader rendered screenshots will take some time.

@KORKMAZ If it is a jet engine, open the Overload Mod (XML editor), go to the dropdown menu at the top, select 'Engine', then in the list of names and values that come up, change the value of 'PowerMultiplier' by whatever number you wish.
If it is a propeller engine, go to the part settings and use the slider to set the HP. If the slider reaches it limit, but the HP is not at the desired amount, go to the Overload XML editor, in the dropdown menu select 'PropEngineAdvanced', the in the list of names and values that appear, change 'Power' to whatever value you wish. Please note that 1000 HP is equal to the value 2000 'Power' in the XML editor. (its x2)
2 more things to note: Changing the HP will change the speed of acceleration, not the max speed. The max speed will stay the same. If that is what you wish to change, use a different engine.
The other thing: To access the OverLoad XML editor, go to the very first main menu with the play button. Click on MODS, then click on OverLoad. Then click the new button that appears to "Enable" the mod. This mod is pre-loaded when you downlaod the game. Now on the bottom right, beside the play button in the designer, there should be a button with: </> and then a plane symbol below it.
@ToeTips I understand it takes time. Im so busy with aircraft as well - I have a highly detailed and Funky Trees coded collaboration aircraft modern fighter with UssrLENIN to release now (Working on the thumbnail screenshot). I also just made and posted a Diamond D jet in just one day, yesterday. Now I am making a ATR-42, a second collaboration fictional aircraft, plans for many more jets, AND juggling day to day life! My hands can't keep up with my brain's never ending ideas!
@ToeTips I found out a neat trick for interesting fuselages, you might like it. Set the corners to manual. One pair opposite sides is hard. Other pair is circular. Make sure height and width is equal. Rotate 45 degrees. then you get modern fighter plane fuselage!
@ToeTips true. The basics are easy. But it takes years of experience, accumilated knowledge, research and analysis of other builds to master it. I like to think I have mastered it, but still, mastering it doesn't make it any less fiddly and difficult.
The screenshot is from SIMPLEPLANES? How does it look so good??!! Give it to me without the context of the simpleplanes post, ids say its from a real racetrack, real car!
These are my two submissions, built earlier.
WW2 - https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/Y2XCwh/FH-1-McDonnell-FH-Phantom
Cold war - https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/6NkG46/Fuji-T-1-Cold-war-challenge
@WinsWings Ok, understood for the supersonic. By the way, my Diamond D jet is due to upload soon. I disagree with prizes for collabs though - if anyone doing collab wins, I think the prize should be split half between the person posting and the other given username. Sure there is a risk of the other username being a random friend that didn't help, but still its the one posting's personal choice.
Wow! Thanks everyone, this is fast turning into my most upvoted build!
+1@Pilotgoose Yup! You need to stay with the times, build jet aircraft!
@LimeAir Lol yeah. Please wait for a bit before fix it and upload, first I send you your prize of 2 reshaded screenshots. You want the best one as a thumbnail with the name on it? I know good fonts to use
nice update!
+1@ToeTips I could do... just tag me in an unlisted post of yours and Ill see what I can do.
+1@Jetmaker Ok, Ill tage you in any new ones! I was thinking of making a scrap plane challenge, inspired by ur sef-1.
@Jetmaker Yup! keep up the good work
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes Wow, thanks! Ill try that for my next creation. A question, I noticed something, is it a glitch that if you have two glass fuselages, the less opaque one will override the other? It happened when I looked through a HUD behind custom cockpit glass.

Why is it so heavy to run? Its a rather small map, despite very nice
Whoa!

@ToeTips the good side is that simpleplanes will be getting a lot of new aircraft from me. 😅

@Nerdsta307 Thanks, im glad people are enjoying my work.
See this post of mine for the visible difference https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/0ZeXA2/Fuselage-VS-Blocks
+1A suggestion, try using the fuselage resiable blocks - looks much smoother than the blocky blocks here.
+1Doesn't have the looks, but it handles and flies just as nicely as any advanced jet could ever hope for!

@ReignSUPREME I am thinking of making my own trailer, what is the background music please?
How did you get the filter crackly, I like it!

Are proposed futuristic planes allowd? https://www.wired.com/story/boeing-hypersonic-mach-5-jet-concept/
Can we do collaborations?
