This is an amazing aircraft. I did have to put the wings and blades on flat bottom to take off but it flew very well. I never knew you can even get a plane to take off at about 21 miles per hour!
@DerpyCookie17 Oh I thought it said the minimum wingspan is 65 feet... And the tow plane is perfectly capable of towing it aswell. The weight of the glider is only 11,000 pounds. And anyways all I have to do is just make another plane its not like its the end of the world or some shit.
@F104Deathtrap I do support the idea of making wing control surfaces use VTOL/Trim sliders incase you thought otherwise from what I said. But how do you maximize the lift with he game physics without putting the flap directly under/above the wing?
What I do is place a 2nd wing layer underneath the wing and attach rotatorsto it. It doesn't look as appealing up close but it works well. (Doing this also doubles wing lift)
@LimitedShelf568 well without any mods then no it could not take off on its own power but all I had to do was to just put tge wings and prop blades to flat bottom airfoil and it was able to takeoff. And doing this actually then made the takeoff speed to 22 mph and stalling speed to 21 mph and enabled the aircraft to make 20+ degree climbs for extended periods of time. these may have been even better with mods.
@Irobert55 That was actually my original intention(a normal me 163) But with two engines instead of 1. I found out that it handles much better
with canards so I designed it like that.
@Irobert55 This plane uses two intercepter missiles as propulsion not a cleaver missile. A cleaver would be to large and heavy for something this small.
@Blackknife Taking weight off the front will only effect the tippage by a minimal effect, it would be better to put the wings more towards the front so the CoL would be farther from the back.
