if you want to build a drop fuel tank you can simply make one then click and drag it over to the "Save as subassembly" box at the top right of your screen. so when you make an aircraft you can put it on by accessing your subassemblies.
Getting people excited about your builds is also a good way, such as posting a teaser in a forum. It will bring more eyes and interest to your creations.
Or an infinite map with random hostile convoys! Or maybe airfields to refuel and stuff

Yes, I know AIM-9s are IR but they actually aren't IR. as of right now there are no IR seekers in-game and there is no way to make one.
