I'm working on a fictional planes that will probably only get minimal attention but I really want to make another replica. I have a flopped super sabre in my game save but I'm pretty sure I will just scrap it. I guess this is just the way things go.
Lol yup. I have made this mistake myself. The key is to make it with only structural wings. Then the issue is figuring out how to make control surfaces happen

This is a very beautiful beast. I would like to go back to building my own fictional Aircraft someday. They don't result in many upvotes though. It's a shame but there is a bias that people have against certain builds.
@RAF1 it seems like fictional planes don't get as much attention as replicas. Also it seems that paint jobs are a serious factor in getting attention. When you have a dark paint job on top of the dark grey void you seem to get less attention. When you have a bright paint job you get more attention. That's why I only make replica Aircraft now. The funny thing about replicas is that since most people who play this game are from America, American planes get many more upvotes then a good Russian replica. It sucks but that's the way it works.
@HellFireKoder I'm sure Andrew has this low on the priority list so do you think there is a quick mod you can do to enable different color schemes for the backdrop?
@AndrewGarrison can you please work on making a better viewing system for the simpleplanes builder? I think a simple large hangar would be good. Or could you maybe add the option to change the backdrop color? Planes with dark color schemes are often overlooked due to the lack of visibility.
@realluochen9999 I love your use of scale changed thrust ports. I don't use conventional engines anymore. You should check out some of my latest creations. I am pretty proud.

This is interesting. It is complex but still has a simple look to it while still being elegant. A truly amazing job indeed.

@MAHADI just a scale changed fusalage part to make the plane more visible. I thing that planes often get passed by when they have a dark color scheme.
