@BOSKnight @am096 I got it working! Here's a version with minor tweaks to make it take off from water. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/B7lBrI/Beriev-Be-20
@Mitterbin Hey, I added some floating blocks to your pontoons, and changed the x-axis angle of your horizontal stabilizers to make the pitch a little straighter. I also made the front wheels steerable. Here's that version of your seaplane.

@whal Hey, I made a few changes to your aircraft so it can take off and land on water without doing frontflips (most of the time), here's a link

@PotatoAeronautics nice work for a rush job. I also tweaked the flight control surfaces a bit to keep it from pitching down too much. I can share that version with you if you're interested.
@SleepyKitty I made an attempt to improve your aircraft. I had no problems with the engines coming off on landing, but I was able to add some floatation and change some of the flight surfaces to make it a little easier to fly.

If you resize the elevators to be a couple of clicks bigger, change the x-axis of the horizontal stabilizers to 0.15 and bump engine power up to 0.75, she takes off from water much better. Cool build, btw!
@MarkTheDesignGuy changed the x-axis of your horizontal stabilizers to 1.6 and hid a floatation block in the front of each pontoon. Now she flies level and doesn't attempt frontflips in the water. If you'd like, I can share that version with you.
@BOSKnight I tried to build this as a successor for the seaplane challenge, but I couldn't for the life of me get that version to fly straight. Hopefully I submitted this right, if not, let me know what I need to do to enter this aircraft into the seaplane challenge.
I've been working on a totally overhauled version of a plane I've already built and intend to release it in a few days. It should meet all of the criteria of this challenge, other than possibly the "no mods" rule. Does that mean no XML mods? If not, how do I officially enter?
Thanks for the upvotes and comments, guys. Obviously I can't take most of the credit for this plane, but I have spent a lot of time modifying the design and tweeking it to fly well. I'm very happy with the final result and hope you all get as much joy out of flying it that I do.

+2@BOSSentinel no worries, take your time
+1How did we do?
+1@Mitterbin thank you!

@SleepyKitty I didn't want to take credit for your build. Can you not download it?
@PotatoAeronautics here you go!

This thing is ridiculous. I love it!
Awesome plane! I did have to add some rear wheels, though.
@FrizzAviation any time! I'm not creative enough to build from scratch, but I've gotten decent at tuning existing planes.

For those who have a previous version of this aircraft, this update is well worth the download.
@BOSKnight thank you, brother!
