I have figured out how to make a linear actuator act like a suspension spring and a piston at the same time, allowing for landing gear designs like this to be easily built
Tired of pistons being annoying? Tired of the connections on pistons being wobbly? Well I have the solution! The LINEAR ACTUATOR! using witchcraft I still can't seem to replicate no matter how hard I try, I made a control base go in and out instead of around and around. Use like a normal piston.
.
(To be real though, I have no clue how I got this to work, I pressed the undo button and the control base I was using started acting like this. I will appreciate it if someone manages to reverse engineer how this works)
.
Here it is: the LINEAR ACTUATOR.
@BestBuilderEverNOCAP its in the aircraftdesigns folder in the simpleplanes file, in steam, go to your library and right click on the game, click properties, then click local files, then click browse
@BestBuilderEverNOCAP click the dropdown that you would remove the post with, then click update XML, then grab the XML file for the build and upload it
I keep fat fingering the cursor in SR2 mobile, I try to move a part and get left with a mess of duplicated fuselages (ik they're called fuel tanks in SR2 but let's be honest here, they're fuselages)
I have the second plane I ever built on the site, but my first one used VTOL engines before I knew how they worked, so it didn't fly for obvious reasons
Here's an FT fix: Roll=0?smooth(RollRate, 0.5):Roll
.
I forcefully induced auto Roll into one of my planes and managed to get it to stop by replacing the wings that use Roll with this code, multiply RollRate by a number to increase and decrease the strength of the correction, and replace 0.5 with a different number to increase or decrease the speed of the correction. The input for wings is in ControlSurface under InputId. Just paste the code there and it should be fine.
.
Please note that this is a band aid, this can cause weird flight characteristics on something that is very agile
Well people much worse than you have a higher point count anyways (such as me, my build quality sucks), so I don't see the point in you not deserving it.

Welcome to the dark side, your okthxbye permit will mailed to you shortly.
It's a
+1[CONNECTION TIMEOUT]Congrats on 10k
+2(Well you will be at 10k when my upvote goes through)
I remember seeing this on Reddit, gave me a good chuckle
+7@SpiritusRaptor give it the VR tag and a curator will look at it at some point, curation requires us to be in out headsets
+1@Reworkable ok, let me increase the damper on the actuators and ill upload

link to build in video: link
@SpiritusRaptor wormwithlegs explained it better than I cam
@Default4 I know what you are thinking of, dont
+5@Bryan5 thanks for telling me
+1@Bryan5 can you tell me how you did it?

I see you tried to make this VR compatible, but you put the steering wheel on a rotator instead of a control base
Set activation group to (Activate5&PitchAngle<60)|(Activate5&PitchAngle>90)
I have tested it, it does work
Pinned a comment I need to add to simplecheats

+2@MrShenanigansSP if it is above the chair, it physically cannot be below the chair at the same time, as that would cause a paradox
@MrShenanigansSP not sure what you mean, as above the chair is not below it

Make the steering less sensitive, the lower the steering angle, the better. My Blazing Aquamarine prototype has a steering angle of 2 degrees
+1@BestBuilderEverNOCAP click the dropdown that you would remove the post with, then click update XML, then grab the XML file for the build and upload it
@BestBuilderEverNOCAP you can update the XML
Yet another victim of the undo button

+1Heyo, I'm robloxweponco
you are now on the top page of highest rated of all time
+6@XiliamXD to be honest I didn't expect you to build the dinosaur anyways
Congrats on platinum, your okthxbye permit should arrive in the mail shortly
+2Me, an intellectual: Var: Timer = clamp(smooth(AngleOfAttack) > 85 | Timer < 60 & Timer > 0 ? Timer-0.03 : Timer + 60, 0, 60)
+1@rexzion no, it's signed by me, as I'm the one responsible for printing them and giving them to people
I didn't notice you were platinum lol, congrats. Your Okthxbye permit should arrive in the mail soon

+2It wasn't SP, Tinkercad had a stroke when importing the model

+3Vote concluded: paint job 4 wins
(Though I like 3 better so I might release this as a combo pack)
Mobile has it turned off by default, I forget it exists until I play SPVR, which has it turned it on by default
+3I have the second plane I ever built on the site, but my first one used VTOL engines before I knew how they worked, so it didn't fly for obvious reasons
+1@MachesterF1 adding the vr tag makes sure that curators will look at it eventually. There's currently a huge backlog of builds at the moment
+3Scale them to zero.
+1Ok we get it, you use your crypto rig for gaming
+4You now hold the record for most upvotes on a single build in a day
+9You can enable mobile joysticks on the PC version in the settings
+1Got it while it was free, then got addicted
+2Because I can
+4Saw the flash of green right after the 30k mark, pretty sure that's me
+1The connections are just bad, pistons and detachers suffer from this too. There's nothing I know you can do to fix it
+2Not sure if it's the final teaser yet, I still have some stuff I need to tune on it
8: you forget to add the VR tag and get mad when the curators don't look at it
