I love this tank in War Thunder, it'll deflect a solid APDS round from a Leopard 1, but will die to a 7.62mm machine gun bullet that ricocheted off of the turret manlet into the tank hitting a crew member resulting in a "Fuel Explosion"
I don't think the AI is programmed to make decisions that complex as they run on code rather than visual sense/logic, best you could do is load up the pig pen, and XML edit the missiles on it to have a minimum range where it cannot lock/fire, you can do this by selecting a missile, opening the XML editor, going to the part of the menu labeled "missle" and add a new value/thing at the bottom named "minRange" and set the value to the minimum distance in meters (i.e. 300)
Maybe put Auto tracking codes into the rotators so whenever you lock onto a target and shoot, the missile will follow and the camera will track the target creating a "laser guided missile at home" contraption/illusion

Ever heard of lowering the impact damage on a cannon? If you had a 999mm non-explosive shell with zero impact damage being shot at something, the shell will most likely do almost nothing aside from either bouncing off or pushing an object.
I agree, a cannon can be almost any caliber you want it to be (adding on to the customization aspect), i.e. a cannon could be firing bullets ranging from the average 7.62mm bullet to a solid 120mm shell.
Do every single White rank user in a video (don't take that out of context), I'd stick around for a month to watch it if it took that long to see it beginning to end
