@KPLBall Nope, for now the F-36 is the final aircraft in the F-30 line (starting with the F-33, then the F-34, now the F-36- note that the F/A-31, F/A-32, and F-35 are not included). The F-37 hasn't been built yet due to the overwhelming success of the Phoenix Attack and its variants, but it's also because the Phoenix is quite special to me personally since it's designed after a custom model I made myself in real life.
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer I guess they had to be sure, since airfields would probably be prime nuclear targets at the time....
To be fair they did discover some things, e.g. jet fighters are the most durable between jets, prop fighters, and bombers.
Regardless the poor XF-90 didn't deserve that ;-;
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer Three reasons:
-The project and aircraft were cancelled
-They were trying to see how much damage aircraft could take from a nuclear bomb in case of nuclear war
-They really just wanted to make the XF-90 go extinct (there were two, one is the one that got nuked and left in the desert until recent, and the other one was destroyed by further testing at NACA following the program cancellation)
A less recognized Superfortress, but a good one nonetheless. This is probably within the first 10 I've seen here, and potentially the first 5 I've seen built during my time. Great build bro :D Take my upvote and spotlight
Also, my XF-90 is sweating profusely right now...
For context, the only "surviving" Lockheed XF-90 was victim to being a nuclear test target three times. I can't seem to find any straightforward statements on what dropped the nuke, since I doubt it was a nuclear missile test, but after sourcing and comparing dates, I can safely assume it was a Boeing B-50 much like this one that dropped the nukes. I could be wrong, but I believe this is so.
Edit: Well, now I feel stupid, but for the better XD. I did in fact find a source, two of them. It was in fact the B-50 that nuked the XF-90 lol
@KPLBall @SPsidearm
Reminder that the A-40 family was built to ̶f̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ defeat the entirety of the Soviet Union even in the nuclear age...
Plus I have over 7000 A-40Ds that operate on a hivemind so if you as much as even look at one you're getting jumped by at least 10
@SPsidearm Yep
Speaking of which I finally cleared my schedule so I can build it today, and if I'm lucky also have it posted in unlisted
I do have one final question though: Is it going to be entirely inspired by the A-10 like visibly resemblant of it, or is it just going to be A-10-styled in the nature of carrying a lot of heavy weapons and being built around the gun?

@SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore Sort of, the B-50 is based on the B-29 if not a directly upgraded version of its design.
+1@MizeaO *31, my entry will be released soon
The description is pretty much finished, I'm just contemplating if I should add images or not.
@Karroc9522 Man, nice
Nice :D
@Graingy Well then everything checks out

"Please no I'm so heavy already-"
"Stronger Engine + 500 different guns"
The shader in the first two pictures is insane
Nice build
Main: Super Hydra Mk.V, FI-90A, FT-8A
Bonus: A-40D Havoc II Stratoterror (joke)
Nice man :D

@TheMouse Sure man, this and the Intimidator II are specifically built for the MDA so they're free use w/ credit for you
