Got to sort trim, brakes, realistic cruise speed etc and for some reason mirroring has left something glitching through on the wings which is bothersome. Hopefully by next weekend I’ll have it sorted - despite lockdown I’m still working. @Mustang51
That was not half as tedious as unreversing the lettering after mirroring. Typically altering mirroring and adding modded wings and hinges things go sooooo slowly on this iPad it’s painful. TheN it keeps crashing. She’s come in at more parts than I would have liked but that was to blame on the lion. @RamboJutter
Man this thing looks great! Why have you chosen square windows out of interest? I like the approach - one I have dubbed the ACI approach for the number of times something goes wrong for me!
RJ’s chief designer’s been captured by the japs now.... he’s not having the best war is he! :) Looks like it could have been an early 30s aircraft replacing biplanes.
No problem! Incidentally Lion survived Jutland and didn’t suffer the same fate as some British Battlecruisers after ‘Q’ turret suffered a direct hit and only stopped setting off it’s magazine (and the entire ship) by Maj Francis Harvey (RM) flooding the turret. He was mortally wounded by the impact and flooded the turret with him in it. He received a posthumous VC for his actions. @WorldofWarships
“Something wrong with our bloody ships today”... love it, especially since my Great Grandad served abound her as a RM gunner. Great stuff keeps these coming!
Screenshots are all well and good and you’ll probably get muchos upvotes on those alone - the flight model needs a bit of attention though as it’s quite nose heavy. Why go to so much detail and mix RAF and Luftwaffe details out of curiosity? Is there a demo aircraft you were using for reference I’m missing?! Overall this is fantastic work for silver player, I see you’ve done a few EFs and I guess this must be a subject of interest for you.
Must say that is an interesting question when making replicas. Do you stick to realistic engine specs and make the glove fit or over power the engines to achieve the performance/characteristics? @EngineerOtaku
Please stop with all these formulas, I signed up for simple planes - I look at builds these days and feel like I should be wearing ‘the dunce’ cap! :) Looks rather clever and hats off to your ingenuity! What’s to follow, an enigma machine or Turing’s enigma breaking machine?
Firstly well done on the shape and general outline. You need to fiddle with some pesky settings on your wheels. Under ‘traction’ turn this from auto to manual - then put ‘forward’ traction to max and ‘sideways’ to min. I’ve tried this and it’s not as bad but something is definitely pulling to to the right on the ground and not once airborne..... she needs a little attention flightwise and perhaps more power but it’s nice to see this kinda aircraft not performing outrageously and she has a realistic load out too so bravo to you Sir!
Some really good details here but it feels like you’ve published this half cocked. That wing looks really good from above and you’ve captured the shape bang on - but why the stock wing only and without the distinct dihedral? I like this build and your work, bit is this build for someone else or something? I’ll most gladly wind my neck in if it is..... ;)
I wish that were true. I’ve never spent a penny on that game and I seemingly got ‘punished’ with stupidly miss matched games and always seemed to play x2 tiers above my level. @CalebRepublic
You captured the shape of the lightning really well here and it’s very part efficient. With that said at 66 parts I’d be trying some decals maybe to spice her up a little! I’d also use the more powerful engines not only for the extra speed but for the more realistic afterburner plume. Great stuff though!
264ft long and 2128 parts on iOS..... this must be a recent device! Neat build!

Sure is! @THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER
Thanks, that livery was a complete pain! @asteroidbook345

I’m not one for tagging people but if I remember rightly were you interested in a BCAL livery 1-11? @Mustang51
This is beautiful, pitch is a little strong - I’d maybe inclined to tune it down a little. Great stuff though!
+1Lovely job, don’t think I’ve seen a seamew here before!
Man this thing looks great! Why have you chosen square windows out of interest? I like the approach - one I have dubbed the ACI approach for the number of times something goes wrong for me!
+1Well I can’t try it out but have an upvote anyway!
It’s a shame with larger builds sp struggles on older devices. I made a full scale ship and it refused to allow me to add engines etc.

+2Funky trees....? Is that what kids are calling broccoli these days ;) In all seriousness, can this be done on iOS?
+2God, we don’t demand too much do we? :)
Magnificent!
Honestly your ships are amazing - even if I can’t download any of them!
+2Don’t know what the panic buying of bog roll (BEFORE any food item) was about. After all Covid-19 doesn’t have that kind of affect on you....
Awesome build, deserved of more attention!
+1I pressed AG2 and the head seemingly vanished as I wasn’t looking at the right angle. The best toothbrush I’ve seen on sp :) .....
Bloomin great!!
Must say, love the humour! I think the description needs to be upside down so our brethren dahn under can read this too!

What’s RJ ltd doing building for the Nazis?!? Smashing stuff once more, were you not tempted to add 2 more pieces?

Out of spotlights - I will return!
+1I remember these from ‘A bridge too far’ where they incorrectly stood in for p-51s and the like.
+1Ship shape and Bristol fashion!!
This must be wip, I’d love to see this finished!
Oh go on - have your 70th!!
Yeah I think there’s too much magic going on for my old iPad to handle.... Marvellous job though, I doff my cap to you sir! @ChiChiWerx
What...!?! Nooooooo..... “There was an error loading the aircraft design”
I can’t wait to “depart from controlled flight”! Tip top job!
You don’t build often but when you do..... by Jove this looks rather dapper old boy!

I have to agree with @Trainzo great choice, don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these. Flight could be better but I won’t let that distract me!
+1Very nice. Missing the camel hump though, maybe more of a sopwith pup?
There is a tank track mod out there - not that I can try it. Alternatively create a fixed set with wheels just poking out the bottom so so can move.
Don’t play it anymore. I got hacked off with the tier matching (I.e miss-matching) @CalebRepublic
Looks awesome can’t wait to try this out!
+1I do like the fury! Nice quintessential simple plane with lovely handling, good job!
Lots of positives here. I’d be inclined to tone the handling down to a more realistic level but this is rather impressive for someone who is silver!
+1An old game. @KT
Yup! @CalebRepublic
Carmageddon anyone?
