here is what could happen a mig 21 squadron (take off from tundra wasteland where a makeshift airstrip has been constructed) of 6 flys patrol they incounter enemy bombers with fighter flying escort. most bombers get shot down and a escort's missile hits one of the MIG-21s but does not explode. the components are nearly intact. they are taken to the lab in the ice base and reverse engineered the missile that impacted the MIG-21.
totally not based on a real life incident with an AIM-9 sidewinder in the Korean war that failed to detonate in a MIG-17
@Aarav send a spy plane over Fortis to highlight strategically important areas so later once my bomber is finished we can use it to bomb some of the targets. @Aarav one more thing my bomber is going to need some very specific instructions for its first engagement
the bomber will be up in about 5-6 hours it will be a strategic bomber you will love the name. i am committed to make this into a soviet vs fortis island from me personally
@Yeitcatplanes I fill a fuselage in the shape of a nuke with 8 50 booms maybe add a minigun to the bomb for detonation. the bomber should then be classified as a heavy bomber
@Yeitcatplanes I have that implemented, and it does not work as I want it to but I want it so that the more throttle the further back the wings sweep if that makes sense.
@Yourlocalhuman basically every maritime patrol aircraft either has a large tumor or extremely long nose and/or tail the worst is probably Canadair Seaguard 5000 has the weirdest tumor

is the design based on the Dornier Do 335 if so there is crazy resemblance
