@DickBrazen The information being collected is just Cookies I believe. The reason underage people are banned is so the government doesn't put Jundroo on a watchlist or something.
@MaxCapybara1 It's still illegal regardless of how we came to know about it. That being said, your son has the right to just not answer when asked for his age.
@AWESOMENESS360 No, not really. Note that it says their own consent. If there is explicit permission from a parent saying that they consent to it, it's fine.
@AWESOMENESS360 Yes. The law basically states we cannot knowingly collect information on someone who is under the legal age to provide their own consent to data processing (usually 13 years old). Emphasis on knowingly. If we let people stay around even after they say they're under 13, we risk putting Jundroo into some legal problems.
@AWESOMENESS360 Action isn't taken against underage users unless the user explicitly states that they are under 13, or otherwise says something that heavily implies that (such as school grade). If they do that, by law we have to ban them.
@MaxCapybara1 I'll speak to the moderators about this as I am a moderator on this site's sister site, SimpleRockets.com. As others have stated, your best bet is to contact Support.
@AWESOMENESS360 I think you've misinterpreted the message here. He/she wants his/her son to be able to use the site, however due to the way the law works there are some complications with that.
Congra-- wait, isn't middle school 11-13? In that case you were under 13 when you made your account, which would violate the terms of service, and some other stuff I'm too lazy to get into right now.
As @ForeverPie said, they aren't all-knowing. There are things on the SR2 site that should've been removed that stayed up for sometimes months before I even know about them and subsequently dealt with them. The only way they can really know about it is if something is either reported using the report button, or a moderator sees a comment saying "I'm posting this on my alt account" on a hot topic and decides to check the IP of said alt account to see who it belongs to, and then check if they're cheating the point system. The mods do of course investigate stuff on their own as well without reports or hot topics, but generally that's harder to do and is often more trouble than it's worth.
@sheepsblood First off, thank you for your service. Second, yes the Off Topic tag exists, however, that does not mean that you can just go around posting whatever you want there. The rules state that while off-topic posts are allowed, the moderators reserve the right to remove a post if it is too off-topic and/or is bound to start an argument.
Please, remember that this is a game about airplanes. While we do allow off-topic conversations in the forums, if you talk about religion or politics then there is a good chance that your post will be removed. Especially if we feel that it is likely to stir up debate.
I understand your reasoning here, but at the end of the day the moderators deemed it too far off-topic/too political to stay up. It's not discrimination -- it's the moderators doing their best to make sure this forum stays a civil and fun place.
. Edit: The comment this was a response to seems to have been removed by the user who posted it
@sheepsblood I mean, you're the one complaining that your post got deleted, no? I'm a moderator on the SimpleRockets site, so I know a lot of how this place is moderated and that your post was bound to be deleted at some point.
I don't come here very often but my main issue with this game's community is that people can't seem to get along. It always seems like there's some kind of drama happening 24/7. I get that this tends to happen with larger communities, but still.
I feel like submitting something to this would, in a way, fall under the "don't ask for upvotes" rule. Just in a much more subtle way than simply asking would.
@Spikerya As mods we aren't meant to uphold a "moral code", we aren't Jedi. We are supposed to uphold the rules. If someone isn't breaking any rules, then chances are they won't receive any repercussions for whatever it is they're doing. I also don't see how Mattangi's craft ripped off RU's car. It was a normal successor and nothing about it warranted deletion, which is why it's still up despite RU making a big deal out of it.
As a moderator on the SR2 site I feel I should share my own thoughts on this matter:
I don't think permission should be required to make a successor to someone's craft, nor is it up to the original creator to decide if a successor post is enough of an "improvement" to stay up unless a moderator specifically says otherwise. The rules state this:
It is okay to download someone else's airplane, make some tweaks, and re-upload a new variation.
In fact, the original designer may even receive bonus points.
However, if your variation does not offer any improvements over the existing airplane, then it may be removed.
As you may have noticed, nowhere does it say you need any permission. Yes, it's nicer to ask, but that's just a courtesy and not a requirement. If you feel offended over a successor post then, sorry, but that's not really the uploader's problem. It is up to the moderators to decide if a post should be removed, not the original creator of said post. If you think a post violates the rules, please report it rather than try to take matters into your own hands.
He most likely resigned due to personal issues. He did the same on the SimpleRockets website, the SRC, and presumably SPBC, though him leaving SPBC was more because it was really toxic than anything else. Just give him space.
@TheCreatorandDestroyer99 The problem is that one could copy that link, paste it into one of their crafts, and disguise it as something else so when someone clicks said link, the uploader essentially gets free points.
@WhiteKyuremGaming If you read the post I linked to you'd see it isn't exactly that simple. The scripting backend has to be changed from one that supports mods to one that doesn't because of the 64bit requirement.
Considering Apple's TOS doesn't allow mods, and that future versions of SimplePlanes on Android won't support mods, it is very unlikely that iOS will ever have mod support.
@MrPorg137 Not super low. I raise and lower them depending on what I'm doing, but I have the shaders, normal mapping, and part textures all on high and it works fine. Pretty much everything else is on low or medium.
As someone who has owned SR2 on PC since launch day, and as a beta tester for the mobile version, I can tell you that it is most certainly something to look forward to.
@Gameboi14 Since like 20 minutes ago
Fools, your tiny respirators that aren't even airtight have no use!
+4@DickBrazen The site does actually have ads as of fairly recently, but they currently only show up for people that aren't logged in.

+2@Bmcclory I could ask you the same thing 5 months ago
I mean to be fair that isn't exactly very difficult to accomplish in most cases

@sheepsblood Sir this is a 7 month old forum post
Sir this is an airplane forum

@EternalDarkness Yeah, the improvements to the mod notes are really nice. They're actually readable without making my eyes bleed now.

+10.9.2? Seems like a huge downgrade from 1.9 if you ask me. :P

+3This post would be better suited for the official SimpleRockets website. You can log-in to that website using your SP log-in info if you so choose.

Vizzy is superior :p
Physicists have always said that matter cannot be created nor destroyed.

I've been playing it on an 8th generation Fire HD 8 with Google Play installed for almost a month and it runs fine on low settings.
The answer is most likely no. Even a very good PC struggles to run Maywar at times, so a mobile device wouldn't fare well against it.
