@FlOu Thanks. My only real gripe is I couldn't fine-tune the exact position of the flaps left and right on the wings. You're always stuck with the best fit the notches allow.
@MasterManufacturingCo Brown is a blended color. An aggregate of multiple colors. It's displayed on monitors by red-green mixing. The best way to get brown right now is to drop the slider somewhere between red and green on the color picker, which limits your options.
I work up close with Air Force C-5 Galaxies.
And by "up close" I mean inside them.
I handle cargo in the Air Force Reserve.
Our base only has C-5As at the moment, but work upgrading the fleet to C-5Ms is already underway.
@Liquidfox I test flew this version many times. All problems should be gone. Except for the very mysterious and very subtle tendency to roll right on its own. I've tried many times to find the source of that problem, but could find nothing, it's perfectly mirrored and balanced.
I have two theories of possible causes:
1. The fact that the tail is anchored to one side, and was nudged to get it centered.
2. to put the guns in the nose, I had to attach them to the inboard wings, then nudge them into position, this meant I had to attach three to one wing and two to another since there are 5 total guns.
I don't know anything about random explosions though, I've never had that happen on any of my test flights.
@SHCow I've heard timing is key. Uploading when more people are active and such. Some people advertise planes with forum posts, but that's a little vain. Usually it's just luck. It all really depends on who is looking at the newest planes before yours disappears beneath the flood of newer uploads.
@Noahproblem Oh yeah. Definitely had some troubles during flight testing. But once you have a good idea of the stalling speeds, a general feel for the nose-heaviness, and develop a proper throttle and vector technique, it's actually quite effective.
@GrumpyRacing I'm guessing a slower time will win this one while all the faster planes get weeded out by nonsense crashes. It will be like Daredevil all over again.
@ChiChiWerx I just opened up an XML file, and looked for things that looked like they could be changed. I toyed around with them to see what I could do. Basically trial and error lol.
For example, on most parts, there is a property called "scale", which defaults to 1,1,1 which are its scale multipliers in its XYZ axis. Set those values to 2,2,2 and the part is now twice its normal size. I'm also pretty sure most modded values are invisible at first, so you have to write them in yourself.
@ChiChiWerx I'm actually only eagle-eyed on P-38s. The Lightning is my all-time favorite plane, so I know almost everything about it. Anyway, for stock parts, the scale is perfect. I had to rely on XML tweaking to make mine look so nice.
Very nice! You got the shape down pretty well. It's downscaled a bit, but I'm really the only person who care about that lol. (my P-38 is close to 1:1)

@Noahproblem shh... I only called it that because I still considered it a work in progress.
Middle school? I'm two years into college, and I thought I was young.

@MrSilverWolf It's nice! It needs to be 4 times larger however. lol
Yeah.
Get good at nudging.
It's the best feature for precision building (at least for those who CAN nudge).
C
Mix it up!
@MrSilverWolf Nice. I often bring C-5 pilots their coffee and toilet paper before they start their flights.

I made a very nice replica P-38
Probably one of the best yet!
I once played peekaboo with the launchers until I ran out of fuel.
I'm pretty sure they don't run out.
The way I got past them was sniping them with this
That is the most uncomfortable looking steering wheel ever.
No telling how many times I needed a brown, and the only option was dark orange that looks like brown if you squint.
@KingDeadshot I think he might be asking if it's bad manners or not to advertise planes using forum posts?
Make a Pteranodon.
Make it fly.
And strap a gun to it.
I always thought Helkeska looked more like an F-111 Aardvark than a Tornado.
Maybe that's just because I'm American. lol
@Matthew01 Thanks. It's fun to try offroad landings with them.
@Matthew01 Thanks!
@Liquidfox Thanks! It was a project one month and 5 versions in the making.
I just hope it gets noticed.

@Liquidfox It better! I put (FINAL!) on this for a reason!
@Hockeygoalie21 Make a plane, then go into XML and rotate every part 45 degrees! lol
@Noahproblem Thanks!
@SHCow Good stuff.
@Engineeroftomorrow Check THIS out.
@Liquidfox Thank you!
@General360 Thank you.
Check out my Lightning some time. ;)
So many lightnings today lol

@General360 @Liquidfox Thank you both!
I'm just noticing my plane made it farther than any other plane that used only propellers.
Final 16. Pretty cool, actually!
@Razr Thanks!
@AndrewGarrison Do we still get to keep the bonus points won during matches of the current tournament?
That right lane is just robbing people of wins all over the place.
You deserve an upvote.
Aw, I missed watching my first race. But I won my first round match, so awesome!

He actually did it. The absolute madman.
Build a truck, then put it on the truck.
I shouldn't be laughing, but here I am.
An actual-size lightning and no upvotes? Not on my watch.
@AtomicGaming Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. lol
Lol! Kinda reminds me of my Swordfish.
@Noahproblem lol
