Yes, use rotaters with the input LandingGear and have the minimum value at 0. If you want landing lights, have the lights on the input -LandingGear, so that when the gear is down, the lights are on.
Yeah, some planes apparently become "memes" (German Corsair), but most of it is plane building skill, tbh I've never seen anything happen before like the German Corsair.
