  • Drone (from Gantry) V1.0 7.7 years ago

Same issue. If set upa rotor as manual ie. control prop without a governor, its not bad, but requires a lot of finicky handling with prop pitch and throttle so engines don’t overspeed... painful @PyrusEnderhunter

  • Drone (from Gantry) V1.0 7.7 years ago

@PyrusEnderhunter I tried making a quad copter, but very difficult to get the propellers really controllable (up/down and left /right etc.) so I went for jet engines and RCNs instead.

  • Drone (from Gantry) V1.0 7.7 years ago

@PyrusEnderhunter Something you can fly around the place?!? Like a quad copter but using a jet engine instead.

  • Bell UH-1 (Huey) - Vietnam era 7.7 years ago

Easy to do... I had them plus rocket pods on an earlier version. Surley you can install them? @furryfan101

  • Bell UH-1 (Huey) - Vietnam era 7.7 years ago

For the main rotors you will need more power to the main engine. Or you could try increasing the weight - check the white bands on each blade - try doubling the weight.

For the rear rotor, just need to increase max rpm from 350 to something higher.

    @Aaron2107

  • Bell UH-1 (Huey) - Vietnam era 7.7 years ago

There are two joint rotators on the main prop... change from 10 degrees to say 15 or 20 this is for lift. And then one could copy one of the gyro’s and have 3 of them which will increase pitch/roll/yaw.

Making these changes may provide what seems to be more respinsive control, however I think it will be to ‘touchy’ when you are are flying close to the ground or landing on carriers etc.

  • Republic P-47D-22 Thunderbolt (PLATINUM SPECIAL) 7.7 years ago

This is really well done, good job! It looks AND flies great.

A couple of notes...; The wings have been scaled, it looks like the height mainly - when they are not scaled 1 to 1 eg. 1,1,1 to 0.2,.0.2,.0.2 then the control surfaces can look a but odd when in use. The only tip is really scale each axis the same and you won't get get this. It also means you will need less wing area.

Camera's and cockpits... Your cockpit is great as is the gun sight. I know its difficult to find one spot for the cockpit view that shows everything, and typically one needs to design the cockpit for this. In any case, what you have is super.

Again a minor tip... braking when landing. You can set the brake torque on the front wheels to zero and beef up the rear wheel torque. This will stop the plane from nose diving when braking after landing.

Also, love the sunglasses! so cool!
