    Thanks, @Treadmill103. The really cool thing about this is that it can be adapted to measure any input very precisely. If the VTOL slider isn't accurate enough for you, you could get the exact measurement with this thing, one ring for each significant figure.

    @Tums Don't worry about it, just enjoy the build, and thanks.

    @Freerider2142 I wish the cannon was more customizable, though, with a damage property and more shell types. It would be great to be able to make a railgun...

    @Mustang51 Oh, I have a bunch of parts I feel the severe lack of, that if added to the game would take it to a whole other level.

    @tylerdeveneuxmusic I'm not sure what it is either :) I just thought it looked fascinating.

    Glad you think so, @Mustang51. It's a lot of fun playing with the new inputs. If only they added a rotator part that was like the airbrake, but could rotate through 360 degrees...

  • How do you make airplanes yaw? 5.4 years ago

    @Brendorkus

    • To increase maneuverability in general, reduce wing loading. Scaled wings really help with this.
    • If you want more yaw authority, make your rudder control surface bigger and maximise the distance between it and the airplane's center of mass. The longer the moment arm, the greater the force (lever principle).

  • Icarus Redux 5.6 years ago

    @Abhishek700 For that, you need an aircraft armed with modded Cleavers and also at least one air-to-air missile. Select air-to-air and lock on to the target. While locked on, change mode to air-to-ground and fire a Cleaver. For faster lock-on, mod the air-to-air missile's lockTime and maxTargetingAngle as well.

  • Icarus Redux 5.6 years ago

    @Abhishek700 Here are the settings I use for Missile.State:

    firingDelay="0.5"
    lockTime="0.01"
    maxRange="10000000"
    maxTargetingAngle="360"
    maxSpeed="1000"
    maxHeadingAngleAdjustmentRate="100"
    maxVelocityAngleAdjustmentRate="1000"

  • SR-71 Blackbird v08 5.6 years ago

    @AWESOMENESS360 I actually set the drag high on purpose to get the flight handling exactly how I want it. Don't knock SP's flight model, it's by far the best of any flight game out there... if you can figure out its secrets. The only problem is that the developers have kept the best stuff under the hood. Un-modded parts truly suck.

    @Looney Area 51 isn't so much fun any more. When they retired the SR-71, the aliens stopped visiting, saying it was a pretty boring place after that. Before that, well... I could tell you stories of Betelgeusian booze and Cassiopeian chicks, among other things, that would blow your mind.

    @asteroidbook345 Yeah... but then it wouldn't be as much fun. Imagine a virtual cockpit as on the F-35, that lets you see all around you with no restrictions. Now imagine that at Mach 3+ and 90,000 feet...
