    Nice, especially the gunsight.

  • Drakon 7.6 years ago

    @Al3jandro6304 No problem. Nice build, it handles well. Looks a little like the Global Hawk.

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @ACMECo1940

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @Aeroman77 Nice. That makes me happy.

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @Aeroman77 Let me guess... you got direct hits?

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @KillerDread What would you like me to do with it? It's nothing like my build style, and I haven't built any boats/ships yet, so maybe I'm not the man to ask. EternalDarkness and Feanor come to mind as two leading ship builders on this site.

  • F-51E 'Ravenous' Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @KillerDread Sure, that's an idea. I'll put it on my list.

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @KSPFSXandSP I know, but I like the metallic look. It's very easy to apply your own paint scheme, so you can always do that if you like.

  • Harpoon (Cruise Missile) 7.6 years ago

    @KSPFSXandSP Yeah. Hopefully, if Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos etc. have their way, passenger space flights will be a reality and we can all travel at Mach 25 someday.

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    That makes two of us, @Aeroman77. Did you try dive bombing with it?

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @KSPFSXandSP It's just two Boom 50s, scaled up by 3x. The "special" explosion happens sometimes, I don't know if it's random or whether it depends on where you hit the target. Either way, the Jundroo developers did that, not I :)

  • Tubes 7.6 years ago

    @KerlonceauxIndustries missed your comment first time around. They're smooth because they're computer-generated.

  • Tubes 7.6 years ago

    @chancey21 I can, but why would I? You don't upvote my builds, you don't even give credit for custom parts, what's in it for me?

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @DJ123 I use OBS Studio to record videos, and VirtualDub to convert them to gifs. But there are plenty of alternatives out there, I'm sure. A gif is just an image and can be posted like any other image.

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @Davisplanez You're not supposed to, you're a fairly new user :) Have you tried out this build yet?

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @Davisplanez Absolutely. Accurate dive-bombing in SimplePlanes is hard enough, let alone with a bomb big enough to be visible from a distance. On top of that, you need an airplane that flies steady enough so you can switch to orbit view and get a nice video, without veering off target. And finally, to get a video like that, with the airplane climbing away, framed by the explosion and flying debris... well, it takes a lot of things to come together just right.

  • Stuka-SD Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @Davisplanez. That first GIF is the most spectacular moment of my entire SimplePlanes career.

  • EWR VJ 101 X2 7.6 years ago

    @grizzlitn Nice job, look forward to what you come up with on PC.

  • F-51E 'Ravenous' Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @phanps Er, it's not me, it's the airplane :) That's why I uploaded it, so that anyone can perform the maneuver if they want to.

  • SledDriver Parts Kit 7.6 years ago

    @Al3jandro6304 The power output goes from 1x to 50x. It's in the description.

  • F-51E 'Ravenous' Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @FGW2014 Set ammo="1000" on CounterMeasureDispenser.State.

  • F-51E 'Ravenous' Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @BaconRoll When you get a direct hit, it really is awesome. Luckily it's not difficult with this airplane, I can get direct hits on the Beast about 80% of the time.

  • Harpoon (Cruise Missile) 7.6 years ago

    @Davisplanez Yes, just one. It'll take down destroyers, but not the Beast. The point of this one was just to demonstrate level flight.

  • Spread-shot hovercannon 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @Davisplanez

  • F-51E 'Ravenous' Dive Bomber 7.6 years ago

    @Davisplanez It's just a bomb-like shape comprised of fuselage blocks, containing two bombs, attached to some detachers. You can drag it off this build by using the "pylon" attaching the bomb to the airplane. It's probably too large for most builds, though.

  • HE 360-120 7.6 years ago

    Nice.

  • Fortis II 7.6 years ago

    @Davisplanez :)

  • Fortis II 7.6 years ago

    @TomShift Maybe, but I don't like wasting my time on things that don't work well.

  • Fortis II 7.6 years ago

    No problem, @SoulDestroyer9

  • Goliath 7.6 years ago

    @Reaper9 Sure thing, it's a nice build.

  • Fortis II 7.6 years ago

    @SoulDestroyer9 Here you go. Let me know when you've downloaded it so I can delete it (I don't want unlisted posts cluttering up my posts pages).

  • Fortis II 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @mikoyanster. I was wondering, were you going to re-submit your level flight entry? If you just add a crosshair and reduce the control sensitivity, it would do very well.

  • Ender's Game MD500 v2 7.6 years ago

    @Ephwurd Yeah, the convoy's too small to be much fun. There's a link to my shaders in my profile.

  • Ender's Game MD500 v2 7.6 years ago

    @Ephwurd Yeah... I wish there was more to do in the sandbox, though. Seven targets just aren't enough.

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    Glad you like it, @KSPFSXandSP

  • Harpoon (Cruise Missile) 7.6 years ago

    @KSPFSXandSP Yeah, but at that speed it might have to be. Adding a meatbag and associated systems would probably make it too big/heavy/expensive. Anyway, at that speed you'd only be flying in a straight line. For "fun" flying you probably need something like an agile, Mach ~2 fighter.

  • Raven V 7.6 years ago

    @Nqrz Go for it.

  • Raven V 7.6 years ago

    @Nqrz Well, unless you're a programmer (and a good one) it'll be hard to explain. Meanwhile, you can try my parts kits here and here. My builds, including this one, are composed of subassemblies like these.

  • Harpoon (Cruise Missile) 7.6 years ago

    @EternalDarkness But of course...

  • Harpoon (Cruise Missile) 7.6 years ago

    Glad you think so, @JettStorm. Try it out, if only to see how level it flies.

  • Long-range mortar 7.6 years ago

    @RandomDude How about this thing?

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @FGW2014 Understanding is only a couple of Google searches away :) OBS Studio is a screen recording program, which gives you a video that you can upload to Youtube etc. as is. VirtualDub is a video editing program that lets you trim, crop, and resize the video, and so on, and export it as a GIF. That's all.

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @PhantomBladeCorp Minor point, it's not the aircraft that are script-generated, just the primitive shapes (tapered sections, cylindrical sections, etc.). The aircraft themselves are designed by me and put together by hand. If I could write a script to come up with the entire aircraft designs that I make, I'd be a shoo-in for a Nobel Prize in AI.

    But either way, it's a bit like asking someone who's automated the assembly line in a car factory to build a car entirely with his hands, including carving each part from blocks of metal by hand. It doesn't make sense (to me).

    To put it another way, it takes more skill to write the scripts to generate these shapes, than to put an entire aircraft together by hand single piece by single piece -- which is more a matter of painstaking but mindless effort. I respect effort, but I respect creativity and skill more.

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @PhantomBladeCorp Well, I know you love replicas and also build great replicas and I respect that, but they just don't interest me. Different folks, etc.

  • Raven V 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @CreativeDean

  • Raven V 7.6 years ago

    @MisterMitchell Thanks! You can always depend on SD Industries products to be very capable :)

  • Raven V 7.6 years ago

    @VOVAK Sure, but I'd need a good reason to do that. Large builds have a lot of advantages.

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @PlaneBuild0512 That is pretty weird. Never happened to me though, but then I'm on a PC, so that might be a factor. I'd recommend saving a new version regularly when you're working on a build. I regularly go through five or six versions before getting to the finished build.

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @MisterMitchell Yeah, this build was just crying out for some color :)

  • Schwalbe II 7.6 years ago

    @FGW2014 I record it using OBS Studio, then edit and convert it to a GIF using VirtualDub.
